Surely if your driving safely then you don't need to be told where the speed cameras are?

This item is purely to allow people to break the speed limit without receiving a fine, how these things are legal I will never know.

looks good to me - thinking about getting one

Disagree!

I agree in the first place, but what about streets that have speed cameras but its not clear what speed you can go!

Theres a road near me thats stops from 40 to 50 to 60 to derestricted in the space of 3 miles

if speed cameras are put in places where there is a risk of danger and not used for cash cow purposes then this device warning you of those danger blackspots is a good thing surely. Even if you are doing 25 in a 30 zone to know you are in a place that has a lot of accidents is useful.

Speed Cameras are all marked anyway aren't they? Think they have to be.

Certainly, all the ones in Edinburgh are .... so they're not exactly hard to spot in the first place .... assuming you are actually watching the road ahead in the first place. If you're not even doing that then speed cameras are probably the least of your driving worries!

Seems like a solution to a non-existant problem to me.

That’s right, but they are never hidden behind trees or other road signs (_;)

That would be devious :(

What you really need is a ROAD ANGEL, had one for 2 years now and still got clean licence, it SCREAMS at you if Plod is hiding in a van or in the hedge with his trusty radar Gun - Recommended.

It doesn't detect speed cameras ! !, It tells you when you get to a GPS location that is in it's database, If the speed camera is removed it will still beep until the database is changed

To my knowledge the road my mother lives in has never had a speed camera in and it happens a few places around the estate.

The problem is in the database, It is possible to extract the database containing the latitude and logitude positions and plot them on a map like Autoroute or Google earth, You can also edit the database to add and remove any locations.
