I used this last week to return some items to M&M DIRECT (its cost £3.99 through them). My nearest paypoint place was the costcutter shop at the end of my road. Printed my label, packaged item, took it there and got receipt with tracking number. Was really easy! x

This is a godsend for me, gone are the days of waiting in all day for a courier, now i just drop my parcels of in a morning on my way to work and forget about it,

And best of all its CHEAP:thumbsup:

There are certain circumstances where you only pay £3.99 such as ebay sellers whom display the collect+ ad in their listing

Sounds a good palace, getting fed up with P2G's excuses!
#3
sound like a good deal and saves waiting around for them too
#4
Parcel is insured for £40 maximum.
#5
This is basically exactly the same as arranging a collection with home delivery network justy the parcel waits at the shop nstead of you waiting in, and its cheaper. i work for them so know what im on about. you can also get your parcels delivered to the shop if you wont be at home!

Assuming that price is fully inclusive of VAT and all costs, then its a good deal.

This sounds fantastic, and had never heard of them.

I could probably hunt their website for this question, but am a bit busy in 5 mins so can I ask do they also do cheap courier from the UK to Europe.

Most RMA's for computer parts are based in Holland and costs a fortune, this is why I am asking,

AVOID - This is dreadful, I used this to post some stuff with ebay and 3 negatives out of 4... Not good, you have to drop off at a collction point and then at the other end they have to collect too....

Use myhermes.co.uk cheaper and they collect and deliver to the door, only £3 odd for 3 day delivery

tagged. thanks

Its cheaper because the driver does not have to spend time going to every collection address one after one he can just go to a shop/ collection point throw the parcels in the van and go, no arsing around or vice versa for delivery.

You pay for the priviligde of them going to your door to drop off / collect.

Much easier for the driver, does get a message after he has already been it that area, then has to drive all the way back compleaty off his planned route as f.u.c.k all his plans up. Talking as an ex Parcelfarce Driver.

Just a Point to mention for any in the business MD's/Managers of these parcel firms.

I think UPS has the best vans in the business, you can walk though to the back from the cab, the passenger side door sides open and you can leave open for door to door, the rear of the vans are shelved so you can find the customers parcel and it doesn,t end mixed up and sliding around with the 100's of other one in the back.

Also with for those of you who dont know the driver doesn't get a nice organised list of all the drop of points in order no he has to work this out by him self. Thsi day and age you think the computer system/ GPS would do this.

HAVE PITY ON THE POOR DRIVERS AND USE THIS SERVICE. LOL

Agreed, I used them before Xmas and collection is done once or twice a week and the parcel sits there. I had bad experience with them as the parcel was delivered to some wrong store and the store could not locate it. they were offering me £40 compensation but I refused and kept pushing finally they manage to locate it and delivered back to my home address. Although it is tracked online and they check ID at store before releasing but no proof of signature given(I believe). If you are using it for ebay, REMEMBER they need proof of signature.

Same for me to,

- Sent a parcel out in october, got refused many times at one store so had to be sent to another.
- Was said to be scanned in and received at 2nd store in late Nov, I informed the recipient they could collect it, however store said parcel wasn't there and they didnt receive any.
- after a few complaints parcel was said to be lost, I refunded recipient and sent a claim to collect plus.
- they received the claim and said they had found the parcel and its at their head office, was delivered back to my home address on wednesday.
- it was re-boxed, opened it to find the original packaging damaged and torn open and items were ripped and water logged, so now chasing them up for compensation. :x

Needed another alternative to send off things for ebay

Try parcelbee (recommended on hduk) £13.50 for 30kg 48hr service sent parcels to amsterdam last week .

Collected by UPS, printed off delivery note to stick on carton which they scan and you can track.
Got a receipt book for collector to sign.
Had to wait in but i am home all day anyway.
(could be shipped by DHL,FEDEX,PARCELFORCE,TNT or UPS)

To be honest alot is down to the store aswell! they have to know what they are doing and let Home delivery network know there is something to pick up. If we are informed we will go and collect the parcels. (we have to, is logged as a drop and due on the computer). However, if you want 100% piece of mind then arrange the collection to be done through the actual courier company to get it from your house, then it is tracked the second it is picked up by the driver. But if your not two fussed and just want a cheap and easy way of sending ebay items then this is good, just make sure your local store knows what they are doing (maybe worth asking they if they have a collection everyday, if they say yes or yes when we have a parcel then they know what they are doing)!

Oh, and to the people who had problems witht this before christmas....... They decided they were going to change the way they did things without really explaining it to the drivers or the shop keepers at a very busy point before xmas, so that lead to ALOT of confusion and probably accounts for some problems encounted. All is working pretty smoothly now everyones upto speed.
#21
Avoid at all costs, used them last year and the parcel was never seen again!
#22
Buy cheap, pay twice.

Freezing from me.

Used them once, never again - took 15 days for the item to be delivered (50 miles away!).

Collect + is part of the littlewoods network including HDN. Soon you will be able to have your deliveries to the shop. Its about time we got some positive feedback on here!

I ordered from Burtons in the middle of January and they use myhermes, it turned up 13 days later after many phone calls (they blamed the back log on the weather which was probably true but 13 days is abit much!)

I've been using ParcelMonkey for about 3 weeks now. They collect from your home whatever day you give them or from your work. They deliver very next-day & have not let me down.Anything up to 10kg is £7.05 ( that price Includes the VAT ).

I also use ParcelMonkey - thumbs up from me too.

This Collect+ service sounds OK for catalogue shopping etc. However, a big problem with ebay, to be covered by PayPal you have to send it to the buyers confirmed address (correct me if I am wrong). So sending to a shop or collection point would void this cover.

I believe the cheapest courier to the Netherlands is http://www.parcelsplease.co.uk/cheapest-parcels-to-europe/ at £11.75 inclusive of vat for up to 30KG
For UK I'd have to recommend www.fastwaycouriers.co.uk for price and door to door service

was looking at a cheap alternative to my usual carrier but from the comments here i'd not risk it. I currently use www.p4d.co.uk (parcels 4 delivery) and their service is outstanding. They use DHL (amongst others but i prefer DHL and have never had an issue with DHL) and i can send up to 13 odd kg to anywhere in the UK for £6.99 + VAT. A little more expensive but for piece on mind it's worth it plus every delivery I've sent has arrived the very next working day..
#30
I 'road tested' these with a catalogue return then used them for an ebay sale - never again!

The parcel stayed in the shop my end for over a fortnight. Even when I got onto collect+ and they sent out a driver especially to collect it the shop said they had nothing to give them and they went away.

The parcel was finally retrieved from them with an out of date catalogue return sticker over the address (?) it was then refused at its destination as "no-one with that name works here" and was finally delivered over a month after I took it in my end.

I really should have written to complain but I was losing the will to live at that point.
#31
Cheers OP been looking for somewhere that's not so deer as the post office was £12.75 to send 6.5kg last time out.

Will defo give this a go Thanks :)
#32
Also used these many times without a hitch, www.p4d.co.uk
#33
interparcel have been reliable for me... but not this cheap... p4d are also good
#34
Very mixed reviews by folk on here. And the paypal cover being voided kinda puts me off completely. Nice idea though.
#35
Damn, I thought it was pick up from your office or home, not a pickup point 2 mile away.

A courier company offered a pick up service from my office or home for £5.50 and delivered anywhere in the UK the next day.
However, I would have had to buy 50 up front and I dont use a courier enough to warrant that.

Have to agree, p4d not let me down yet, unlike Parcel2go which were the worst courier company ever...

I used this lot to send some returns to M&M last month. I dropped it off at the local newsagents on Jan.12th, and I thought it was delivered on Jan.18th (thought that was a bit slow) but turns out that was just when it was delivered to their "Collect+ Agent". It was then finally delievered to M&M on Feb.1st according to the tracking information. Based on that, not sure if I'd use them again, but it did save me having to queue up in the Post Office.....
#38
fab service... very nice will certainly use for ebay
#39
Although this deal has been slated,
I actually have found 3 new quality couriers,
from other peoples comments.
Cheers guys

used these for ebay. got my only negative comment. Should have put that it was a collection point in my ebay add though. Personally i thought it would be easier than having to wait in for a parcel all day. The guy who left negative feedback only lived 120yards from the pick up point aswell!
