I was looking for a 2 bay diskless NAS and this seem not too bad and the cheapest ( I could find at the time) for its specs; I also had some Amazon gift vouchers to use up! Says it been reduced from £…

Been using an Iomega IX2-200 for at least 6 years and never had a single problem with the NAS. Both drives have failed during that period and rebuilding is a piece of cake (once I realised my version is so old it will only take max. 2TB drives.) However, I only use it for backups of important files so can't assess streaming speeds.
Had before, was awful, sold. I wouldn't recommend. Slow, buggy interface, takes an age to do anything, only showed up half the time
I guess it depends on what you need/want from a NAS. If its somewhere to store your files over the network with some basic functionality then this will probably do the job, but if you want some of the more advanced features then its worth paying the extra and by advanced, I dont mean advanced server administration stuff but things like Plex, Bittorrent/Newgroups, Sickrage/Sickbeard, VM's etc

I started off with a small Buffalo NAS, it did a good job at basic storage and real simple Bittorrent but it really started to struggle at anything more advanced than this. Went over a ARM based Qnap and it was miles better, really quick and ran stuff like NZBGet & Sickbeard etc, now I've upgraded again to a Intel based Qnap (because the migration was plug & play) and its a beast, but to be honest, if I was only storing files etc I would had stuck with my ARM based Qnap.
Same here. Used to run similar cheapo nas boxes. Since I built my own server based on Synology OS I would never go back.
Synology is the way to go. Worth paying extra for the experience and support.

Dont do it they are pants Lenovo and iOmega are rubbish i had to return a faulty NAS to Lenovo a couple of years ago and it was the worst experience of my life, the NAS failed inside the first year and they wanted me to do tests and send them logs before they would fix it they wouldn't just except it was not working. Their are better options than this dont waste your money.
Was it this NAS you returned or another model? What are the other options, I could only really find the d-link DNS 320L and that had quite a few bad reviews. With my vouchers I got it for £29.99

I've got the DLink 320L - works perfectly with two 6TB drives in a RAID, not sure what the bad reviews are but it's a good NAS IMO.

Just ordered, thanks. £14.99 saving 81% when I clicked through
I've got these - if say they were almost as good as GHD's. They heat up slightly slower but for the price they're excellent :)
I was told these are better than GHD,s. Can't convince my daughter though!
Thanks for posting. I’ve added the price and merchant to the title and an image.

well no wonder I couldn't find any reviews for this product! lesson learn't.
I had a 2tb version and it died just out of warranty. Apparently the control hardware in the box is crap.
I dismantled mine and reused the hard drive in a new synology NAS enclosure. Buy cheap buy twice-literally.
Thanks for the heads up. Fingers crossed the 3TB ones are more reliable.
I bought the 2Tb one from groupon a few weeks ago and it was faulty. couldn't connect an external usb hard drive ie the nas drive hung. contacted Lenovo Iomega support and after lots of trouble shooting they sent me a replacement. that too was faulty. so sent the original back for a refund!

some reviews say it is slow. Specs say 128Mb RAM only

Your not going to get anything better for this kind of money though, especially with a 3tbsp drive. Will be easily capable is streaming full hd still.

Did anyone buy this? Is it any good?

I'm really tempted, so any feedback would be appreciated!

If you want modern cheap mono laser then I'd recommend the Samsung 3710nd. Duplex and fast. Best thing is non Samsung 10000 page carts are only 19.00

Still prefer the 2300 as it cheaper second hand and you can get a paper tray that goes on the bottom that adds 500 sheet capabilities again anything from 40 to 80 on ebay for the lot. I sell on ebay (some one has to) so often have to print 100 invoices a day. Thanks for the input though.
I've just thrown 3 hp4100's away from the office, I really had no idea people were still interested in them! I've got a other 10 at least so Gumtree it is!

If only this worked with an Android phone :-\

:p it does

I bought similar before, but the remote never works. I think Apple use a different pinout specification.
I have these, the buds are not very comfortable in the ear.
Bought! Heat added.

Ive found a deal that is even cheaper than the professionals, Wowcher. So how on earth can someone vote this cold lol! If you personally don't use straighteners then just ignore the thread please.
You can read hundreds of reviews online here http://www.ciao.co.uk/Yogi_Hair_Straightener__8776966 . They all give it above 4.5 out of 5. I also Googled and found good praising reviews in Cosmo, Company, and Hello blog.
If you get them from Amazon it's risk free really - you can usually return things for a refund.
If I was needing them and my ghds broke, I would try them for sure.
Hope this helps :-)
Are these any good???????? I am desperately looking for one, thanks

Is there an android app or do you use some other method?

Google "airplay on android"...I use a free app which i was already using called "Twonky Beam" easy to use and lets to stream to almost anything. I had this already using it to stream to a DLNA smart Sony telly. Some devices come with already pre-installed apps like my Sony mobile.

Thanks cecilmcroberts. Interesting to get your view. Does it work ok with android?
I personally don't care about the branding or styling so the £50 saving on this speaker might be worth it.

yeah works fine on 3 different versions of android (2 phones and 2 tablets 3 different android versions between em) so far with no issues nor lag. Also wasnt fussed with the sonos having to connect the "bridge" to the router , just adds more clutter which was the whole point behind going wireless. There are little adapters you can get to turn most speakers into wifi speakers (although not very good for using with mobile/tabs) but like the sonos all means an extra part liked this 1 piece solution.

But really to me with any music item it's personal pref nothing beats an instore demo to compare.
