I dont know how good this one is but I too have had years of service (nearly 10 infact) from my swiss army pen knife. It was engraved with my name as a present from Swistzerland. Anyway I accendentally left it in my toilertry bag and Italian customs confescated it (although passed thro UK !). I was "gutted" - obviously not literally as its only a 2 inch penknife !

P :)

OOh, sharp ! :D

Worth looking on ebay - I picked one up new for about £20 a few months ago.

Pity these are overpriced, as they are a great bit of kit & you have to buy the Garmin version

amazing bit of kit very useful,
In regards to comments above think we have some haters as bear grylls knows what he is on about and his kit has never failed me (and can almost guarantee it never will)
great buy
10/10
I picked up the suspension for £20 and have found it to be every bit as good as my old Leatherman.
Had one and sent it back. The pliers bent on first (reasonably gentle) use. Bought a Rolson which was much better at £4. Eventually bought the full size Gerber though, which is of much better build quality.
Bought one last time at £9.00 quite reasonable but rather smaller than I understood from the description. The 10.5cm is with the tools extended not folded. Just checked and it appears they have changed the description to indicate this.
As stated above, Leatherman is a far better manufacturer. Use mine daily and it's over 15 years old now.

bought one of these a couple of weeks ago, the tool is fine for the price and arrived in a sealed blister pack but it appears to be used or reconditioned as the scales on one side of the tool are marked and all 8 of the torx bolts are chewed up a bit as though someone has been at it with a poor fitting tool - someone mentioned something about this when the item was posted previously but they bought theres from a market place trader, I bought mine directly from amazon because of this but it appears to be the same

If its a used knife, I doubt "Bear" had anything to do with it....

Cheapest I've seen this on Amazon so thinking now is a good time to buy! Slightly cheaper if you buy with a third party which is fulfilled by Amazon. Remember to select other buying options…

Ordered. Thanks OP.

Funny after reading the "leatherman + Victorinox fanboys" post's, that all the peeps who have received theirs are more then happy!!! Case closed NEXT!!!

My previous reply to your insulting nonsense seems to have been deleted. Seems someone can dish it out but can't take it.

In summary, my opinion, expressed above, is genuine and honest and intended to help other members of HUKD - it does HUKD no favours to have the likes of you dishing out insults such as "fanboy" - there is no need to be unpleasant and rude to people who are trying to help others with the benefit of their knowledge and experience.

Mods: if you delete this comment please take a moment to send a PM to say why, and please also delete hkpooey's offensive comment too. Thank you.

I have the 305 but only use it for running. Works great with the heart rate monitor, it's never dropped out on me, so i can't see why this would be any different

Seems a great price for those of us who love our stats good find op! :)

I also have both, but this is for cycling.

I know was just commenting on how good the 305 is at picking up signal from other devices ;)
Works with Garmin Fit for Android
Judosteffer
I don't supposed its compatible with an android or iPhone running strava?

3-Pack D'Addario Electric Guitar Strings - 9's £8.89, 10's £8.93 Delivered @ Amazon

25
Usually about £11-£12, this is a great price for these 3-packs. 'Super Light' and 'Regular Light'. The best electric guitar strings, in my opinion. Here is the link to the 10's (Regular Light)

For me, it's a simple case of durability. I have found D'Addario sound brighter longer, break less offen and take longer to corrode than any other brand I have used.
Of course string gauge makes a difference. What doesn't is brand of strings.

I've been playing guitar for over 10 years and to me a string is a string is a string. All this nonsense of one brand being better than other for a certain genre. Just get a decent name brand at the cheapest price you can. No one is going to say "wow his guitar solo sounds so amazing, its clearly the strings he uses".

I've been playing for close to 20 years now and yes string gauge does make a huge difference to tone and sound.
