I posted an earlier deal for these but it got largely overlooked. It's not cheap but it is a fantastic deal and I couldn't get near it anywhere else. Was worth my while driving 100+ miles to collect…

I think you'd better stick to your £1 ASDA deals - this one's obviously too big for you!

Look, it's a fabulous deal - best around - and yes it's buy one at RRP and get one free; that's clear in my post. If it's not for you just move on. Don't spoil it for someone else who may benefit as I did. You don't seem to have contributed much to HUKD in three and a half years - do you just lurk and snipe?

I was looking for two folding bikes so we can take them out for leisure rides without all the disadvantages of hanging them on the back of the car. There are lots of cheap folders out there but they

Yup thats a great deal! I have a Dahon Jack folding mountain bike and it is great to put in the back of the car bit still be good for trail riding. This looks neat, in fact I would love a small folder with a travel case to take on holidays but not got the cash for it right now. :(

These bikes are very rideable and ideal for the purpose you describe. They are a bit cumbersome for carrying in town though. There is just a tiny amount of flex from the alloy frame - don't dismiss the steel version as it is not much heavier.

Agreed on all counts. The main reason I went for this one is the hub gear and at this price it was not much more than the best discount I could get on the steel frame model (Speed D7, around £270). The weight difference is small (11.8kg vs 12.5kg I think). Yes, for ultimate portability the 16" wheel bikes are best but the compromise when riding is greater too. These will just get folded and put into back of car so meet our needs very well. Would be OK to take on train/bus once in a while but probably not best on a regular basis.
Cracking folder at a fantastic price - snap em up quick!
