My 380s arrived today. Really nice compact design and nice sound. Well worth the money.

I have to return the WP-380's due to poor microphone quality. Are you happy with the mic quality on yours for making calls? Tried 2 Bluetooth phones with same results :-(

Was going to use these mainly for voice calls (using mobile phone), but unfortunately the mic quality is not good enough: callers can't hear me --> my voice sounds very faint with some static :-(

They are primarily headphones and good ones. Answer the phone normally if it's that bad....

Mine is awful too, the other person can hardly hear me. Thankfully for me nobody calls me other then my wife so its probably a good thing I can't hear her :p

And not well reviewed!

Edited By: jasee on May 01, 2017 03:28
Yep, poor reviews for all their over priced cans. After my backbeat pro's died, I decided to get the Evo EXR's......Probably the worst cans I have ever owned!....Bought directly from Creative, who in my personal experience have the worst customer service. Believe me, I am speaking from experience.

I've had three of their products, and out of the three only one has been non faulty and up to the standard I would expect for the cost.

I now have the Jbl Everest Elite 700 Platinum editions....very nice they are too, but I do miss my backbeats.

Amazon have dropped the price on the very well received Sony h.ear on MDR-100ABN's...

Hope this feedback helps :O)
Reviews seem to be poor

One of my best buys, im back because im buying another. Thanks OP.
Easy connecting, smooth operating and quiet.

Is it really so much of a problem? Surely any alarm will simply be heard through the Echo Dot's own speaker if the Sound Blaster's cut out?
I'm pretty impressed with mine.
Did you get one of these? Mine's packed up, ready to return, but I'm sure that there was nothing at all. I think the Dot speaker was disabled because it was connected to the AXX, so didn't hear anything at all. Can you just let it power down then just ask the time and see if it comes through the Dot speaker?
No problem - I've just double-checked. Connected to speaker - sound through speaker. Powered down speaker, and sound returns to Echo Dot. Power up speaker, give the command, and sound returns to speaker.
I'm quite impressed with it. Neat little unit, good sound, reasonable price. Maybe give it another go before you return it? :|

Thanks for trying that for me. I'm really glad you're happy with it as well.

I'll have a think, I'm happy with the Roar as well though X)

Decisions, decisions X)
PS - I see you posted it. Thanks - much appreciated! :)

I just bought them due to this deal as they looked perfect for my needs. Currently arranging with Creative to get them sent back for a refund.
Massively overwhelming bass and muffled midrange. I don't come from the "drum n' bass" era like a lot of people, and didn't start listening to music on a portable music player.

Similar to the reviews.

Just got it today, was pretty impressed as it was quite comfortable and did block the white noise out.
I'm no audiophile and thought this headphone was quite fit for my purpose
What headphones have you got/used to compare with sound wise?

I had another Aurvana creative earphones I was using, the sound was better on the earphones as the headphones had a bit heavier bass. On some airplane engine videos on YouTube and blasted them on my TV to test the cancelling and I thought it worked quite well. Didn't block out 100% but for 60 quid, I really couldn't complain.

I have the iroar go, same as this but splashproof. I've had lots and lots of portable bluetooth speakers and this blows the JBL Charge which is a plug in 100W speaker out of the water. Stunning sound from such a small unit. good battery life and can do lots of other stuff too, like be a sound card and speaker for your laptop or PC. You do have to enable Roar mode to get the best sound and depth out of the unit, but thats 2 button presses so not bad.

Honestly its better than Bose Soundlink Mini and all the others.

BUY IT!!!!

I have this speaker and I also own a couple of Kitsound ones too. I think some of the Kitsound range are great value for money, but this little beauty is in a different league to most portable speakers. You will not be disappointed with it. I really don't need another, but I'm also tempted to purchase again.

Thanks for your reply. Its cost me more money though!

Tested...the ANC is either rubbish or there is a fault with the unit :( The ANC is a massive feature for me as these are used for my commmute, so must work......had not such issues with my old Plantronics Back Beat Pro's......

I have emailed Creative with regards to this....If the matter can't be resolved then I'll have to action a refund as search for a decent fairly priced ANC set of cans......Other then that, the cans sound lush when set up correctly :)
Got em today! :D.....and they are very good from initial impressions. A bit bass heavy out of the box, but playing with the sound settings in the creative android app and via the music player they sound really nice....a lot of running in to do still.

Good solid construction, and not as gaudy in my subjective opinion as other reviewers have mentioned.

Comfortable with my glasses on....and without.

Button locations will take no time in getting used to....good placement and easy to remember.

These represent excellent value for money at this early stage of usage......

I do miss the class 1 bluetooth and the brill pause facility of the Back Beat Pro's but at the price I paid, they represent excellent value for money.

The true test will be on the London Underground.....once they fix it ;)

Hope this feedback helps ;)
DHL balls up.....they should now be with on Monday / Tuesday.......this wait is causing me issues......;)
that's right, code does not work :( ......I have taken the plunge as they were down to 99.99 over Xmas. They are now back up to the 109.99 price, and when I looked on their site yesterday, they were out of stock.....the cans should arrive tomorrow!! :) looking forward to using these, but the reported head band issue could be a problem, unless creative have sorted this out.....I'll feedback once they arrive and I've had the chance to run them in..... :)

I have an old Audio Note valve amplifier that produces about 1.2 watts but it goes pretty loud (and sounds very sweet) with my DIY horn loaded speakers.

The question people should really be asking is how efficient are the drivers.

LOL for £25 i bought Technika speaker 2x5w which sounds awesome even better than 2x10w Philips, which I returned. Battery life very good too. That was couple of years ago.
so you are 'LOL'ing at the 2x2W even though you say you have a 2x5W which sounds better than a 2x10W you had..
well... LOL!
Youre wrong LOL you dont get it. My speaker sounds awesome. I only mentioned 2x10 speaker so people don't say "it's technika - it's rubbish". So there are awesome speakers like mine, and others. 2x2w doesn't have ANY advantage over my speaker.
i'm not wrong - you laughed at 2x2W as if thats the only criteria
then you went ahead and said your own criteria was junk by saying a 2x5W was better than a 2x10W
if you haven't tested this then you have no clue
'LOL'
You are not a bright one aren't you? English is not my first language, and I may not always say what I intended to. But I make it clear for you again, that what i MEANT to say was:
LOL I bought a 2v5w speaker for this money that it's not half bad, it actually sounds awesome, despite being Tesco own brand. Do you get it now or are you still struggling?
right i get your comment now (its not my fault that english isn't your first language btw oO) and understand it was irrelevant, gotcha!

"don't want to clutter the inside my PC with an internal sound card." so you'd rather clutter your house with an external one instead?
taras
to the op, how is putting a pci-e card into your pc "cluttering the inside"? anyhoo each to their own..
It can restrict airflow especially if you have non blower sli.
Internal sound cards (onboard sound as well) can suffer from interference causing humming etc. If you don't have any issues with interference whether or not you will actually experience an upgrade in quality from onboard sound is subjective. The only objective test I've ever seen is this one:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/high-end-pc-audio,3733.html

Unsurprisingly tests of this kind do not lead to increased advertising revenue.
Wow, they still exist! How does it compare to Gravis Ultrasound? ;-)
£99.99 for the soundblaster e5 too
Can anybody comment on the sound quality of the inbuilt dual mic?

I've been using this quite a bit lately. Awesome bit of kit, so glad I bought it!
i finally got mine last night. had a faff with my lapptop for ages to get it working!
then thought it was awful! finally got used to it and I'm happy with the quality.
just wish it was smaller! i can't be using this on the go with my phone!
Been using it a lot and it's superb for the price with great build quality.

Found it quite cool that I had it connected Bluetooth to iPhone and USB to iPad and it plays sound simultaneously from both devices.
Ooohh its back up bois!

My mate had these and wasn't too impressed... which could be partly down to the excessive price he paid at the time. Might be perfectly fine for this price range though.
satellites look tiny. probably better off just getting some studio monitors or bookshelf speakers at the same price. also the z623 which is comparable is often around £100 (or lower with flubit), only £10 more and with slightly bigger drivers in the satellites.

Waste of money, a good quality 90s micro hifi (think JVC) with aux input can be had for £20-30, which would blow this out the water. I wasted £50 on a pair of Giga T20's... crap in comparison.
Cool story bro..... welcome to 2016

I bought these a few years ago for 150 (which was the cheapest at the time!). They are a cracking set of 2.1s. The only bad point is the volume is a physical knob (albeit on a wire) so you cannot control the volume remotely.
They sound extremely good, especially with gaming or action movies due to the sub.
No good for use instead of a soundbar then?
Sorry for the late reply on this (although the offer is still live by the looks of it). As you have to adjust the volume manually I would say not really ideal as a soundbar. You could of course come up with a way around this, but essentially they're more of a classic 2.1. It depends what's important to you.

I use them in my bedroom and don't mind having to change the volume manually as much. In the living room this wouldn't be great though.

They do sound very good though, one of the best 2.1s I've heard (price taken into consideration). For games and action movies, they perform exceptionally well.

Many negative reviews about the volume controller on this unit on amazon. Appears that after a year it's common for the volume to fluctuate. You do get a two year warranty from creative on purchasing though.

I've got an old set of T3's up in the loft because of this issue. You can fix it with some electrical cleaner, but taking the volume controller apart is messy.

While they lasted, they were fantastic though. Better than the HK Soundsticks I bought to replace them.

Just ordered! Been after a good 2.1 pc system for a while. I work from home and almost always have movie or tv show streaming on a monitor. Thank you.

All the reviews I can find say they are great!

Why would you want wireless? I've had them all, corsair vengeance 2000, Astro A50 (first edition, then Xbox One edition), Sony Pulse, and they all sound like crap. if your playing PC games, why do you need wireless? Get some Sennheiser G4ME Ones, best headset and price/performance you can get man.

Uh because they are ~£150 these are £90. My G930 are wireless and sound amazing.

Your ears think they are amazing, because they havent heard sound through the Sennheisers yet ;)

Not tried it myself, but certainly looks good... I wonder if they have a wireless version planned (excluding the previous Sound Blaster ranges - they seem to be trying to reboot things with the BlasterX branding)

Before buying it's worth thinking about what you are buying a dedicated spu for. For gaming and media the sound quality is better, clearer, more defined and the sbk/virtual sound works surprisingly very well on an analogue set of cans with decent drivers or even a decent set of speakers. The zxr isn't a huge upgrade over the zx in all honesty. You will most certainly hear an improve in audio over any motherboard on the market, but you'll most noticeably hear the difference if the volume is set between mid to loud. Also worth noting if you do use a headset that is USB based, you'll be throwing your money away.

No matter how good audio is on a motherboard it isn't anyway near a dedicated card
I think your research or knowledge is a bit outdated. Try this https://youtu.be/d1rXcJuEsy0.
Good use of metaphors why not actually quote a source.

It's like saying my CPU has a built in GPU no point buying a GFX card
