Argos are doing the batteries for around £35, bought one the other day. First one was faulty but the replacement works fine.
Is it this one? http://www.argos.co.uk/product/5740932
If so what capacity are these batteries as it doesn't state on the site?
No that won't fit this drill. Needs to be LXT. A BL1815N will be the cheapest battery for this drill which is 1.5ah.

Good price if you have a spare battery, otherwise the battery will cost as much as the body if not more.

its not really a deal for people who don't already own a makita set. but if you do its a great addition to your makita cordless kit. most makita 18v tools are sold without battery's. as most tradesmen already have them. a good deal this.

Also, says free delivery over £75
Of course better to buy a kit if you don't already have Makita stuff. It's free postage on all Makita products & orders over £75.
So postage should be included in the title.
Postage is free.... Like I stated in the title...http://oi64.tinypic.com/sfdqap.jpg

If this isn't a troll, I fear for the future of humanity at least 25% more than I did before.

Thanks RomanB guess your link is cheaper. I will try edit it and put yours in too. BTW are these 3 year warranty or 1 year? I heard something about 3 years if you register the product.

Extended warranty info here, does not include battteries and chargers https://www.makitauk.com/service-web/login.html

FFX tools got it cheaper for 303 Your text hereFFX tools trusted company (used them many times)
Excellent tools, I picked up the 4 piece set about 6 years ago, used and abused it and everything is still going strong. So much better than lower priced alternatives. If you've never used a Makita impact driver you'll be in for a pleasant surprise.

I got this from Amazon (actually FluBit for £168 delivered) about 3 months ago and have since built an extension with a builder friend of mine. His Dewalt died on the job and whilst I was away buying some supplies, I returned and he was saying only good things about this drill despite me telling him the whole time how much of an upgrade it was over my old Bosch. He's now just texted to say he bought this deal so, on behalf of him, thanks op (_;)

These are fantastic drills with massive power and torque, and the batteries last ages and charge quickly. Can only but recommend, especially for serious DIY'ers, joiners and builders.

Glad he got one, brilliant price, just looking for an impact to go with the batteries, cheapest I can find is just a sniff under 76 quid delivered from here http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/makita-dtd146z-18v-li-ion-impact-driver-p159691?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=product-extensions&gclid=CjgKEAjwkpacBRCNlprWw-u-nBwSJACwHiw-S-UvoPaaNwSbp65Ypx1i6BBgPZQc6KBzKnxZU1fYlfD_BwE

The Makita case look fine to me. Why are people complaining about the case?

The case is great, on the lid of it there are dividers for various bits etc , this is the case that arrived with mine.
