short answer - yes

2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
 3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz
 4G: FDD LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600MHz

EE use four different frequency bands within the UK, which covers their entire network from 2G to 4G. EE use: 800MHz(band 26) for 4G.1800MHz(band 3) for 2G and 4G.

im fairly clueless with these phones but I'm keen to get one for one of my children. was thinking either a xaiomi redmi or a wileyfox swift 4g but cant see the phone you mentioned on amazon. You seem fairly up on it, can you help??? he'd be using an EE payg sim but no mobile data (not yet anyways) just home wifi. want to choose fairly carefully as its something id consider when my s6 contract is up in the spring

Okay, firstly regarding Wileyfox on Amazon, or any shop for that matter, avoid with world size pole. I'm sorry but regardless of how many brought 103 1 Stars and 74 2 stars review is red (bloody) flag!!! And also most people reporting exactly similar problems, phone working in the beginning but suffering different problems after a few months. Also support is not there. You can have a look for your self.

Ulephone, only get this for its Rock bottom price.

Finally, I would go for Xiaomi phone.
Works on EE.
Has software support and customer service.
Has Google play Shop service, Gmail, etc.

I got one for my father in-law to uk and DHL only charged me £3.56 for customs. (It's luck of the draw, but DHL are strictly tight)

If you can wait a few days I can try get it for another £7-15 off, I'll try.

R u signed up to Banggood yet? If not, good Chance to get a good price for you, let me know beforehand you sign up.

If already signed up, please wait a little and I'll see what I can do.

No I don't work for Banggood, just being polite. :D

Thanks so much!!
My brain said xiaomi but my Christmas wallet said go cheaper lol. I've seen it mentioned a few times on here so figured it'd probably be the one to go for. I've tried to clue myself up a bit today and it's the best of the 3 in lots of respects and I'm keen to compare against my s6 for my next contract too, taking into account its like a fifth of the price, of course!!
So Xaiomi it is :D
No, I've never signed up with bang good but I'm happy to.
And I'd sooner have silver/grey if that's possible but not at a higher price, the child can have the gangsta gold if it's cheapest. In no mad rush but it is needed for Christmas.
Really do appreciate your help!!

ok, I'll try 2 c what I can do but please don't feel obligated to buy, obviously i know your looking but you are welcome to look at other phones.

my wife has a Google Nexus 5x and it's really good but when I got her dad's present, believe me I didn't want to give it up. lol :D

By the way, I would invest in a few quids for tempered glass and a few quids for a cover.
if you look hard enough you can find it for £3 each and it is well worth it. ill c if I can find and recommend the same.

I'll get back to u soon as possible.

And, I've been reading another post on the Redmi note 3 pro and I'm getting nervous to buy again. They're taking about hennesy, Kate and kenzo and I'm totally confused. I just need to know that this link below is what I'm after and going to work on ee in the UK???
http://m.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-Pro-5_5-inch-2GB-RAM-16GB-Snapdragon-650-Hexa-core-4G-Smartphone-p-1030861.html

I'm also worried about sizing for a case, seems the 3 diff versions are 2 different sizes. Am I ok to search for a Redmi note 3 case or must it be a Redmi note 3 'PRO' case?
#16
Here you go, use this for the link, it's gold colour as its the one in stock right now. suggest you sign up first and then use below links to add to basket to ensure you get them altogether to pay together (you choose in check out what service you want) however will be shipped separately.

http://www.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-Pro-5_5-inch-2GB-RAM-16GB-Snapdragon-650-Hexa-core-4G-Smartphone-p-1030861.html?rmmds=searchFB20222289646201508Y

As for the case, try this one for classic style and I would choose the gray colour because inside is black and out side black with border grey looks nice, other is outside black and inside is white. here is link.

http://www.banggood.com/Luxury-PU-PC-Flip-Stand-Leather-Case-Cover-For-Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-p-1021268.html?rmmds=searchFB20222289646201508Y

And this is another type if you like this style.

http://www.banggood.com/UCASE-Hybrid-Silicone-Back-PC-Frame-Protector-Case-For-Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-Note-3-Pro-p-1096336.html?rmmds=searchFB20222289646201508Y

Clear TPU Gel Silicone Cover if you like plain and simple version.

http://www.banggood.com/0_33mm-Ultra-slim-Transparent-TPU-Case-Cover-For-Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-p-1018724.html?rmmds=searchFB20222289646201508Y

Finally and last but not least, these days you really can't do without these and can't afford not to have this since insurance is not an option and if I was in the UK and brought a contract uk phone like Samsung I would not pay insurance unless it was dead cheap but it really is not, insurance is now a premium business, too expensive, way around this is to have a Tempered Glass, best thing since screen protector films, day and night difference, there is a cheap version but I'll give the link for the best one.

http://www.banggood.com/NILLKIN-H-Anti-Explosion-Tempered-Glass-Screen-Protector-for-XIAOMI-RedMi-Note-3-p-1021322.html?rmmds=searchFB20222289646201508Y

Now go and ride off into the sunset...LoL :p

I've checked and can confirm it will most certainly work on EE.

These are my recommendation but by all means get what you are comfortable with.
Or if you don't feel comfortable, don't buy.

Lastly, postage, you can get the ems £13 tracking DHL custom then £3.56 like me or just go for the standard free one and I am pretty sure they will still both services arrive around similar time frame - in my experience having ordered from Banggood nearly 30 times, you get the standard free shipping item earliest near 2 weeks and latest is 3 weeks, extremely very extremely rare to ever be above that but you should get it now if you want it quickly.

P.S.

If you don't want the gold colour you are gonna have to wait for re-stock or go to different site like Gearbest.com

Hope I've helped....

Peace out, ayt safe. ✌

EE will work fine for all of them. The one you linked is the 'Kenzo' version, which doesn't support B20 800mhz 4G. However, EE use 1800mhz and 2600mhz as their 4G frequencies so lack of 800mhz is not an issue. If you planned to use networks like O2, which use only 800mhz for 4G, then you'd need the 'Kate' version. On banggood, they list the 'Kate' version under the name 'Global Edition' and is about £11 more expensive. The only difference between 'Kate' and 'Kenzo' is that 'Kate' supports B20 800mhz 4G and is 2mm longer. The 'Kenzo' (Pro) in your link has the same dimensions as the original Redmi Note 3 'Hennessy' so searching for any Redmi Note 3 case would be fine. Cases would only be an issue for the 'Kate' version since it's slightly longer.

Ah this is excellent, thank you!!! There was so much info in the other thread, it was hard to pin down exactly what I needed to know!
