Was doing this at 3.30 this morning on my iPhone, so i might be wrong on the Quidco bit, but it does say 6% on Kindle tablet devices on the Quidco App, so I'll let you know i 3 days if they confirm cashback.

The iPad Mini is not a Kindle so you won't get any cashback.

what quidco discount?

If cashback, I don't think ipads are included.

Only software, musical instruments and Kindles currently earn cashback on Quidco.

I'll get them for you croz123 once I get home from work and Time Machine the new MBA (sent my previous one back to John lewis with a fault). From memory I used 3x cores and 3GB of Ram, also increased the Video Ram but I'll need to check that. Similar setup with my Windows 8 VM, but that wasn't as smooth as W7, although still very usable.

Just for clarity for anyone else getting one of these from this deal, they're definitely Grey imports (as we knew) with the US keybaord layout (small ENTER and £ is SHIFT 3).

Mine came fully sealed with the two UK plugs and also the US plugin for the power adapter.
Cheers man !

If anyone does run Parallels on their mac, please let me know how well it runs everything, especially if you're a developer I would love to know how Visual Studios would run.

You will need to max out the RAM if not its useless. you need at-least 8gb

Had a Macbook Air 2013 with 4GB for the last 2 weeks.

Used Parallels extensively (I'm an I.T support Tech) I can't vouch for Visual Studios but it runs Parellels fine on 4 GB.

My macbook pro 4gb runs the latest Parallels like a crap. In my activity monitor the majority of ram is usually always full. 4gb is not enough and you know it yourself. Windows 7 uses 2gb on idle if I am correct.

My experience of Parallels on this machine is differnet. I've used it myself, on a MBA 2013, using W7 normally for everyday tasks including RDP. VPN, OFFICE etc ... It runs fine on 4GB as long as you allocate resources correctly and is perfeclty usable.

Please give me your settings. I used it and it just failed to work efficiently for me. I am no using boot camp. Would appreciate that man !

This might be an option - Annoyingly I recently acquired an iPad, and I would ideally like to use the homeshare function of the apple TV as it's reasonably seemless and polished, the WDTV live hub which I have now has something similar but it's UI is a bit balls.
What's to jailbreak? Airplay on an iPod allows for DNLA NAS streaming when your iTunes PC is off. Most online TV these days is in H264 .MP4 and plays into ATV without conversion.

Most other Media Streamers are £20 cheaper, but lack the finesse and presentation of Apple TV. I had a Cyclone MKV2 and a PS3 as media centres. The MKV was clunky and hard to navigate and the PS3 was again, clunky, noisy and expensive.
Nothing against apple, but I feel the WDTV Live player is a much better bit of kit for less money.
only shows 164 points on nectar website?
I imagine like a lot of people, I really want one of these but personally it seems pointless without a jailbreak being available.
