Hmm Ulster Bank, another HBOS/ Ulster bank Glitch last week, If you have to have an account with them, don;t know if i'd be able to trust no more glitches. Is there a fee?

Yeah. There were stingy with the compensation as well. Cameron & co all gone very quiet on the bankers bonuses, banks should be lending etc score. Hollow words from a politician? That would never happen.
RBOS not HBOS

Just clicked link to apply and it asks for nearest branch so would think it only for northern ireland residents.
cant see how much your minimum deposit must be and if theres a tie in period, anybody got any idea?

Is this available to us folk who live in little ole england?? Any ideas how much 'credit' is required each month?? :?

Can't see anything in the terms and conditions to suggest why not.
It may apply further afield as you can sign up over the phone for an account and they offer online banking. It just depends whether you need a bank with a local branch
The bank has also today re-launched their highly successful £150 cash incentive offer to customers who switch to an Ulster Bank current account. The £150 cash incentive offer, which commences tomorrow and runs until the 15th February, is available to customers throughout Ulster Bank's 92 branches across Northern Ireland. Customers who take advantage of this offer will not only receive a £150 cash bonus, they can also choose from a range of current accounts all of which offer transaction fee free banking.*

Presum the above makes it only avaliable to Ireland

They do in RoI but Ulster Bank is in NI where we use pounds.

Why would Ulster Bank use Euros when their customers use Pounds?

Free £150 seems too good to pass up! :)

They use Euro's in Ireland don't they?

Has anyone tried this? Don't they use Euro's anyway?
To offer £150 to get you to bank with them stinks of desperation somewhat!! ;-)
