  pity the first film was so far removed from the novel it was laughable - character had the same name as one in book, and he didn't know who he was - but other than that totally different from the excellent novel

  I actually started reading the book so I can be prepared for the new film that is coming out shortly, but after first book I can see already they have nothing to do with each other.
  
  It is good though as I enjoy both film and the books as well.

  I don't think it's a pity. It's nice to have a different story rather than seeing a film of the book.

  Steelbook for this is horizontal and normal single sized bluray case...not very appealing...boxset itself is much nicer which I grabbed for 7.99 from priceminister years ago!
