Not sure on the colour, but great price for this device. We got a white one used from Amazon warehouse for £63 and use it every day.

the sound quality is the best I've ever heard in such a small speaker I've had my speaker over a year and I've never had one problem I use it everyday can definitely recommend it.

Went to a party at a mates house and they had music playing from one of these all night. I was really impressed by the sound from it.

I would say yes!

Yes

flip 3 is miles better IMO , however these do go loud but there is zero bass compared to any off jbl's line up. honestly even at this price they are not worth it compared to the flip 3 or charge 2/+ for a little more.

The Flip 3 is going on Amazon though it's used and not in stock until tomorrow for £50.30 in grey:

This deal is for the discontinued UE boom 1 model but I bought a Flip 3 after comparing sound quality against the newest UE Boom 2 model and the Flip 3 had a much richer sound quality with better bass so I would go for the Flip 3 as reviews say the boom 2 sounds better than the Boom 1.

Surprised by that. I'd have thought a mains powered much heavier speaker would sound better. Do you own both?

Why would anyone pay £50.30 for a used Flip 3 when they can buy it brand spanking new for £54.99 from Currys ?

UE BOOM kills the Flip 3. Both are good speakers in their own right but the Boom is better and more powerful - I do own both. When I got mine, the Boom was about twice the price of the Flip 3 and for that I would've chosen the Flip but at similar prices the Boom no doubt.

Incredible price. Best portable Bluetooth speaker by a fair margin.

See and hear a direct comparison here: https://youtu.be/49ysnaaFDj0

That YouTuber also has an online database with audio samples so that you can compare the sound from each speaker (decent earphones required!) here: http://switcher.oluvsgadgets.net/?vidone=n0DuUw372C8&vidtwo=Y4p__a1RyZw

I own this and bought my Dad the Flip3. Although the Flip3 was great the Boom was significantly better across the board - no question!

I'm sure your Dad was more than happy as the Flip 3 does sound great and has the additional benefit of 'Google Now' voice integration (or Siri for IOS) which this UE boom 1 model doesn't have. You would need the UE Boom 2 or Megaboom model to get that.

I think he knows if his Dad is happy or not. No one said the Flip 3 wasn't good just that the Boom is better - it has more power output and potent bass without distortion. I'm also fairly sure that no-one cares about Siri/Google integration really, it's hardly a killer feature, when you buy a speaker you buying for the performance of the speaker, the extra features are nice but hardly must-haves. The Boom 2 sound output is tweaked and better but not significantly and therefore not really worth the extra.

I agree that sound quality is the most important thing but many prefer the sound of the Flip 3 even over the more expensive but louder boom 2 because of it's better bass but hey, one man's meat is another man's poison as they say.
