Well, USB 2 is 480Mbs, but that's shared between the whole USB bus. In ideal conditions that's 60 MegaBytes a second, but even USB hard drives rarely manage more than 30MB/s.

I think you should just take this as being Wireless N compatible, but not expect the full speed.

Is Deal Extreme shipping from the US?

These aren't good. I have one and am only getting 14mbs through it with a laptop that's about 20 feet from the hub - and the throughput seems to clog up if you try to stream files. I get 56mbs from my old Belkin wirelessG card, so the nano card is thrown in the drawer and I've put the belkin back in.

It may be due to the small size meaning its got a very little aerial - but I wouldn't waste your money unless you just want a very tiny wireless adapter and don't care about the speed....

Ive got one of these in my WDTV Live Hub...works perfectly so if anyone was considering getting them for a media centre its well worth the money
