Not everyone likes SCAN, so also available from Amazon for 399, link in 1st post. Has been cheaper once, briefly. Could be the start of affordable pricing? :)

Good luck with that. Can't even get 1440p much less than 300 unless you go korean.

Regular 27inch ones are only £140 now.

i think they might drop, if they are tn panels. the only bit of tech that holds the price well in lcd is ips panels and for good reason.

4K will not drop to that price for a while but 1440p might.

Im starting to think ill keep my existing 19" monitor and buy a bigger 4k TV for gaming and films etc. Maybe a bit more but there's so many pixels, a TV would be better for me.

TVs routinely lie about refresh rate. There will be good TVs, but probably not at the bottom end, and you will need to know exactly what you're buying.

Having said that, monitors are starting to be slightly less honest these days as well. The number of 60hz 4K monitors, which can do either but not both is frankly alarming.

I bought one of these a couple of weeks back for ~£370 from amazon. Great screen for gaming, but you will need a beasty graphics card to run games at 4K.

Does this use nearest neighbour interpolation for 1920x1080 or something fuzzier?
