Rechargable batteries are surely better for the environment, and given that they are nowadays so cheap i am voting this deal Cold

Now be fair - I'm in complete agreement with you about rechargable batteries, but that doesn't take away from THIS deal. This deal is for regular batteries and if their performance is good, it's a good deal, regardless to the alternatives that rechargeables may offer.

Voted hot from me..

You can get chargers that will recharge these batteries , although not as many times as a "proper" rechargable ... anyway voting hot

Some toys state that you cannot use rechargeable batteries, so sometimes you have no choice! Good deal, hot!

I believe that's similar to how some clothes say "dry clean/hand wash only" when they can be put in the machine just fine. It's simply a get-out clause if anything happens("what? your toy exploded in your child's face, causing your house to burn down? That's terrible! Did you use rechargable batteries? yes? well, we told you not to in that size 0.002pt font on the back of it, so it's your problem now, kthxbye").

Dunno about this one - never heard of the brand at all - they could be good or mince - so there's no way of telling if it's a good deal really.

Some of these cheaper branded batteries are really poor, and are therefore false economy.

Long-lasting alkaline batteries? Isnt that a contradiction of terms?
Whats next- a sober Scotsman??

Did anyone read 360MAN's review on the product page?:

"I can't wait to buy these batteries. They are different to other batteries because there are more of them. I will be waiting for these batteries. Batteries."

Wow.

I want some of whatever he's on!!!

They are different to other batteries because there are more of them!??! WTF?!!!

Or an Englishman that can fight AND not speak about 1966 once during an international match?

Nah, I've gone too far, that's most definitely NOT possible. :-D

These are still good for remote controls, wall clocks, etc. which last a long time with alkaline batteries. It would be a waste to buy AA rechargables for those.

Rechargables pay for themselves over the years as most can be recharged between 500 - 1000 times, which in comparison to this deal makes this deal stone cold.
Also every home bargain store and poundland store ive ever been in has packs of
10x 'long lasting' alkaline batteries available for a quid which again makes this deal stone cold.

20x AA for £5.99 = 30p each. You can get 6 AA alkaline for £1 in Poundland = 17p each so this deal is cold.
