Tech Spec:
Another of our extremely popular Umax multi region DVD players with DivX compatibility, the Umax DVD-7600XTV includes a built-in DVB-T (Freeview) tuner.
An integrated Freeview tuner is an increasingly popular choice for those wanting to upgrade to digital, and benefit from up to an additional 40 TV and 24 radio channels.
The DVD-7600XTV also adds functionality by supporting playback of music and image files directly from an on-board memory card slot or USB port.
As with the previous Umax models, this player is region-free out of the box and supports MPEG-4 and DivX playback and features Progressive Scan. It has composite video, S-Video and component interfaces, while coaxial digital audio out also means that you get extremely good sound quality.
The Umax range of DVD players have been hugely popular with customers since they were introduced.

I got mine for £40 but it has a HDMI Upscaler. That aside, great price.

A must for anyone who downloads, Flash Drive to USB, no need for conversion.

Highly recommended :santa:

According to the blurb it only allows you to play music and images from the SD / USB connections, hence if you have any downloaded films (not me officer) I doubt they would play...

Apparently it does play DivX off USB sticks and SD cards, read the (very old) HUKD thread here

I got mine @ ebuyer, but I've seen them in both my local Maplin and Dixons

Couple of pointers:
1. It's a HDMI Upscaler, it boosts the signal as much as it can to try and get it close to HD. Works a treat with pre-recoreded (Purchased) DVD's, but it's no good for AVI files or converted DVD's. A pre-recorded is 4GB where as a AVI movie is only 700MB so the loss in quality is evident when you try and boost.

2. If the DVD player reads AVI or Divx or Xvid, then it will play whether on disc or USB, it will not matter.

3. Prepare to save a FORTUNE on Blank DVDs.

Just had a quick look.

None in ebuyer, or Maplin online (if you have a store visit it mine often stocks different to the online site).

Dixons have 2, One @ £37 and One @ £55

Both HDMI Upscalers, neither mention USB's but nothing a phone call to your local store will not fix.

Have fun
