Good tv's,

I've got the more expensive 21.6" with full hd 1080p / 1920 x 1080 res. Great for use with the PC / PS3 and freeview etc :)

Do you still need a card for Makro? I'm tempted by that price but not got a card!

Which is why you can't really compare Makro offers to anything else unfortunately :(

If I had a Makro card I'd go.

Just a word of warning - bought the built in DVD version of this last year from Tescos. First one failed as the DVD player broke down. Replaced with a new one and within a couple of weeks that one failed, this time the freeview inexplicably stopped receiving signals after ten minutes - then I had to switch it off and turn back on again.

Complained to tescos who said they'd had a few back and they were planning on discontinuing model.

So, in terms of quality I would say beware.

However, bough the grundig TV which I found had exactly the same system and a very similar build to the UMC, this time from Costco, and that's worked well for about 6 months.

I would say it's an adequate machine - sounds is naff. We use ours in the bedroom and even there it's tinny. Picture is good and sharp though, just don't expect the world for £127.

^^ Mines nothing like that at all, mine's going strong and the 1080p FULL HD is brill :D :L

With these cheaper units it's worth switching the AUTO SOFTWARE UPDATE to off - according to the nice little man that fixed mine the other day after a software patch killed it.
