But does it really have a dvd player? seems to be a huge problem with these deals, often umc do not have a dvd player despite saying they do(as with tesco's and bigpockets)

Huh? Pictures clearly shows a rectangular recess slot on the right side of the player, description says it does, if it doesn't then send it back at their expense.

Hot deal, would not buy one myself, not a fan of all things integrated like this (more things to go wrong in one unit), but good price for those limited with space or like things all tidy in one unit.

I ordered this TV last time it was on offer, arrived with no DVD player !
Just the hassle of sending back and getting refund.

Funny aint it, how stock of these keep moving between Boffer, BigPockets and SVP. As soon as one runs out, the next suddenly has some.....

BigPockets and Boffer are the same company, Boffer is just their stock shifting warehouse.

I was under the impression they all operated out of the same warehouse now, could be wrong though. SVP used to be down Torquay way, but moved up to Edinbourgh it seems.

BigPockets and Boffer are trading names under IT Solutions LTD, before Boffer was a trade name and there was only BigPockets they used to operate from a warehouse with a collection counter just outside of Stourbridge in the West Midlands, these operations moved to bigger warehouse premises in Scotland (I presume where you have said Edinburgh)

I was unaware however that SVP use the same warehouse, certainly SVP is not a trade name of IT Solutions LTD

The address details for Boffer is still at BigPockets old address in Stourbridge, unless I am mistaken I would believe they still utilise the warehouse there for Boffer stock..which must be overstockings from the main BigPockets warehouse up in Edinburgh, however I could be wrong there and they just utilise those premises now as IT Solutions operations HQ

Could be wrong, can't think where I heard it TBH. Sure I read that BP, SVP and another firm selling similar had been brought under one roof. Possibly UKDVDR?

Anyway, tis irrelevant. They definately seem to sell the same stock, doesn't mean they're related though.

Would look pretty daft with it's stand hanging below it :p

Also the stand holds the speakers doesn't it?

Hey guys. Just to clear things up it has been confirmed by our warehouse that these do have a DVD Player
#16
Can it play DIVX?

I ordered one of these and it just arrived. It looks great.
I am very impressed with the sound - got an ipod touch connected and it'sgreat how you can operate it using the TV remote.
DVD player is included, though strangely there is no "next chapter" or "DVD main menu" button. The picture is average, slightly grainy - but OK as a bedroom tv.
Ours will be used mainly as a pc monitor with the added option of watching as a tv.
We will definitely use it with the ipod though - very useful.
This is great value for what you get - Tesco are doing one for £175 and this works out £138.

Load of rubbish!!! Mine had arrived - no remote, no mains lead, no instructions and an opened box. I'm now expected to pay for recorded delivery back to them.
