I just went in Tesco to collect this tv from the Tesco Direct deal with the £50 grocery voucher to find that this has been reduced to £99.97 instore! No wonder they were still willing to give people the £50 voucher! This was in East Didsbury, Manchester. I would think that it's not store specific. I've left the link to Tesco direct so you can see the specifications but remember this price is IN-STORE!

I will post a picture of the receipt when I figure out how to post images on this thing...

does the TV qualify as a "branded" tv? ie do you get the £50 grocery voucher?

I'm quoting the in-store deal which is £99.97 without the voucher. The other deal is £149.97 with the £50 grocery voucher, which they have confirmed you will get. I would rather have the cash than the grocery voucher which I'd have to wait until the end of of September for though :)

If you take of the Quidco you get on £149, then take off the £50 voucher, surely for Quidco members it is still cheaper to buy it online, especially if your local tesco does not have it in stock... like mine??
#4
I had a look around the massive Tesco in Newcastle on Saturday. Couldn't see the TV anywhere, wanted to see it before I made the jump online. Wonder if they are bringing them into stock?
#5
Gonna have a look for this tonite as £99 is a bargain - £150 with a voucher aint as good for me as I find tesco's overpriced in the most part compared to asda or morrisons and some of their meats, much worse quality!

Like I said above if you buy it online with Quidco and the voucher, in reality it comes down to just over £95... better deal if you can not find it instore...

Well Quidco isn't guaranteed and not everyone does their shopping at Tesco...and you have to wait two months to get your voucher.
But it's an alternative for those who can find it, if you can't then obviously the online deal is better...

Very good if you find one. Slightly better than the other deal.
#9
Be good to see if this is nationwide!!
#10
Bah, am dahn sarf without transport at the min. Will check out the small Tesco here but don't hold much hope!

I've got this TV. bought it a while back for around £140.
V pleased with it. It's a good budget tv
#12
What is the image like when using it as a monitor?
#13
can you confirm if it has a built in DVD player, as there was some confusion on the other post.

Cheers
#14
It does NOT have a DVD built-in.
I ordered last week, phoned Tesco to ask if it had a DVD. The lady replied 'no' almost before I'd finished the sentence! "We're sorry, the website hasn't been updated yet!".

Order cancelled -- Wifey insists we have built-in DVD for little'un...
#15
Defo no DVD player. But look at the price ! It does have built in Freeview. Sure it's not a top brand but this is sub £100 for a 21.6" Screen.
#16
I guess a fair few people will refuse the TVs when they go to collect them (on the back of this deal) if there's no DVD player built in as unsuitable for what they want...this means various stores will probably have stock that has been shipped to them for customer collection and they're stuck with them once they've been refused - seems logical they may sell them on at £99.97 as that is effectively what it would cost that particular store anyway.
#17
I would just get a £10 dvd player to go with it if i wanted one.

Seems a cracking deal for £100 , may have a gander in tescos later.

Hi, just set mine up, has a scart, vga and hdmi, no DVI though..

No picture in picture either as far as I can tell..

Has anyone found this instock anywhere?!

May be a better deal still, if Tesco are still doing the 5p off a litre of petrol (5 clubcard points in Scotland) for a £50 spend, especially if you're firing 60 litres into your tank. Us Scots can score the equivalent of £12 in C/card deals out of it.
#28
Here's the receipt as promised.

Nope, its £149 online (although you do get £50 of vouchers back in a month or so)
#38
Checked Hartlepool, Stockton and Durham, no stock. Maybe this is one that someone had ordered online and returned and it ended up in the store stock....

I did actually get the 5p off voucher, so they must still be doing it
