Divx does work on this, just done a search, I think it's a great price for a bedroom/Kitchen tv.

Might want to change the title to UMC 22" HD Ready LCD TV with built-in DVD & Freeview £141.97 @ Tesco Direct.

It'll get you more heat. I ignored this at first as it looked like 22" lcd with freeview but with dvd it'll be good for the spare room.

Good spot BTW.

Edited, Thx for the tip.

Any idea on the Model number?
#6
It Also Has Vga Connection For Pc
#7
Are these tv's easy to wall mount?

Also, whats the difference between HD ready and full HD? Please excuse my ignorance !!!
#8
Full HD is a 1920 x1080 resolution, on a tv this size it won't make much difference, imo anyway. It will still display 720p, just not 1080p

What's the sim card trick?
#10
Worth noting that the Full HD version has a higher contrast ratio, proper 16:9 aspect (not the 16:10 of the HD Ready one) BUT no in-built DVD player.

Typical, i just bought the more expensive full HD one (not picked it up yet) to use as a 2nd TV in the bedroom.
Is the only difference the 720p ability of the 2nd one?

I think the idea of the trick was to take the sim back to your local tesco for a refund after it was delivered, hence free

Fantastic deal for a tv thats not that bad, my inlaws got one when they were around £200.00. Pretty good for a second tv. My daughters birthday present has just been sorted now :), good find heat added.

There is also a deal with free HD tv, I wonder if this is for new sky customers only?? I have sky and am thinking of upgrading. I will ring them and post my answer, that is if no one else can answer this.

Man this site costs me a small fortune :)
