What a poor deal???

You have to take your old tv instore and collect this one to get £50 off.....you can buy decent brand tv's Toshiba, Samsung, LG etc for not an awful lot more delivered free to your house.

Sorry but this is cold for me.......

Just took my old 28" CRT down and invested in one.

Still in the process of testing but so far so good.

The sound is excellent, DVD upscaling very good and playback through the USB port great too.

All in all I am glad I made the purchase so far.

Does it have any markings on the tv or box? Where is it made in, would be good to get an idea of where the screen is made.

Thay are made in Slovakia, the company make many tvs under different brand names for big retailers, I think they make the Teknika brand for Tesco also, I think they make the Isis brand for Bestbuy.....not 100% sure but my thinking. One of the problems is they make them to different specs so it is difficult to judge prices of different ones and although I don't knwo what screen they use everyone everywhere says ANY unbranded tv is either Samsung or Toshiba anything to get some credibility me thinks.

The tv's may well be very good and last, they may not only time will tell, I prefer to stick to more well known brands myself for only a little more.

Toshiba uses Samsungs S-PVA in the sizes that samsung use.It is also probally older panels than they use in their own. With the exception of some where A-MVA is used in both (37" seems all 37" use it which is why all have reported buzzing problems for users)

So not suitable for me with pc use as i returned a 40"c580 because of the poor samsung panels pixel response causing trails of images and wording. I am still voting hot btw as i borught a unknown brand 3 years or so ago when i first stepped in to hd and it did me great ! (Hannspree 37")

SImply toshiba don't make their own panels they use samsungs ;) Its the processor that matters more and i am sure this tv would suit many who want it for tv. Enjoy it if your getting or have it and its a good deal for anyone who's on a budget ............. Simples

It's actually £299 after £50 for old TV. But then they give you 3349 CC points, worth £33.49 instore

I have a 23" UMC TV, wouldn't recommend it.

Picture is fine for gaming but Blu Rays can be very grainy in some scenes.

Or £100 in deals :)

I have the 23" version UMC TV. Got it last year for £100 from tesco. Great TV, but I haven't tried playing blu ray movies on it like the user above.

The 3000 extra clubcard points seem to be for online purchase only. This is a instore only deal.......
#16
so I could take an old portable tv in and they'd give me £50 off?
#17
Got one last week, traded in an old (15 yrs.) portable & got double points. Watching it now in HD & it's spot on.
#18
Cant find a way to order via 'click and collect' therefore being able to add the £50 trade in code... managed to add a £10 off code so down to £344. With £100 in rewards not a bad deal IMHO
#19
Just phoned Tesco - its either 3000 points or £50 for your old TV - not both.... Can't find a option to have the TV delivered to a store only home delivery - so best deak seems to be £349 less £10 code plus £5 delivery - £344 and £90 off with the 300 points. £249 still doesn't seem a bad price for a 40" TV.
#20
Will they have this instore still?
#21
Saw it a few weeks ago in a tesco extra so yes they should.
#22
i brought this tv for £299 without trade in so you do get extra £50 off the price for your old tv making it £249
#23
Another £20 off with code TDX-KPRT.
#24
DO NOT BUY THIS TV!!!!!! Or any other Tesco branded TV (Technika or UMC) i have the UMC 40" and need it replaced for a second time, much prefer my money back but thats not how Tesco work... once they get your money there is no getting it back!!!!!! Picture quality..........SH*TE!!!!!!!!! Oh and there aftersales service is even worse!! I wouldn't even give this TV to a charity shop its that bad!!!!!
