I'd be interested to see what UMI updates are like, for example, will it get Nougat?

Not just Nougat and beyond, will UMI provide android security updates in a timely fashion if at all?

Even if that can be guaranteed this might still be worth taking a punt on

Shame it doesn't have NFC or Hotnot, the later is generally standard now on these Chinese devices.

I have a Umi Iron Pro, had 0 updates since I had it. The phone is good, but Umi tend to lie about specifications. With Umi you're guaranteed no updates which blows. Saying that I'd purchase Xiaomi as they frequently update, also elephone although they like Umi are unprofessional liars atleast they do update phones for the better or worse... literally.

For those asking, Umi has plans to release Nougat for the Super, Plus and Max on Christmas. How well they follow through with this plan is unknown. Seems fishy to me, like a ploy to bump sales in the run up to Christmas, where they can disappoint as many people as possible when the wrapper is pulled back to reveal their phone. :p
