Uncharted 2 PS3 Preorder £31.97 Delivered @ Tesco

Don't forget the quidco also, cheapest ATM. Nathan drake is back, as gaming's most charismatic hero tries to solve the mystery of Marco Polo's last voyage (and earn himself a fortune in treasure at the same time). The original was one of the first games to really prove the power of the PS3, but this sequel is another huge leap forward. For the first time you and two friends (as Sully and Chloe) can play together in the same game, with the brand new co-op mode.

gonna be game of the year I reckon. Great price!
#3
Really looking forward to this and I will be buying on launch day which is quite rare for me as prices drop so quickly.

Now I must try to stop watching the pre-release video footage of the game as it is giving me too many insights into the story.

GOTY. I'm hoping for a special edition.
#6
Do tesco take the money out straight away for preorders
#7
Think I read somewhere that you cant cancel a tesco pre-order?
#8
Think Tesco take the money out only when the game has been dispatched.
And yep, GOTY easily (hopefully0.
#9
Good price, Amazon had for same but expired a couple of weeks ago - H&R added.
#10
Keen on this - does anyone have a definitive answer on when payment is processed?

Cheers.

unless you're staff, it's better to go with shopto, you will get it a day before release for a few pence more.
#15

<^ i agree with the shopto comment, for that reason i am voting COLD.
#17
Do ShopTo take money on despatch, unlike Tesco?

I have the money, I just kind of begrudge paying for something now and then having to wait months. I also hate the fact you can't cancel a pre-order with Tesco.

Cheers, thanks a lot. Rep for the quick answer :)

Boo, very bad practice, taking pre-order payment up front. I would hold back and order somewhere else myself (not Shopto, but that is for other reasons.......)

Another vote for shopto from me.

I know what you mean, but I think so long as you use PayPal, you'll be safe. Plus they've really beefed up their security according to their website.

"gaming's most charismatic hero"...?

Metal Gear Solid comes to mind

This will be an excellent game nonetheless. :)

This is going to sound petty, so sorry.
This is a good deal, but it's one of nearly a dozen I group listed at about 0630 this morning.
There's also an offer on the new psp so I went searching for a third time. Found the tesco deal already listed so gave rep and apologised.
Has since been spammed and removed, yet this guy get made hot?
heh ho, win some .....

haha, exactly. If not, mario, master chief or link... or even SEPHIROTH... lol
seriously.

[edit]

Honestly people, I'm not trying to take the p** or provoke anyone here. but seriously, can someone tell me what is so fascinatingly brilliant and unique about this title?

There are some that scream “GOTY!” come on? You seriously and honestly believe that uncharted will be better than anything else released in 2009-2010? I really don’t know what to say, because I am trying my best not to offend someone or start a stupid argument.

Agreed, it sounds like another typical PS3 exclusive :whistling:

At Sony's E3 media briefing, an Uncharted 2 gameplay demo was shown early in the conference. Critics were very impressed with the demo, which led to Uncharted 2 winning the most E3 awards for any game, including:

E3 Game Critic Awards
Best Overall Game of Show
Best Console Game
Best Action/Adventure Games

1up E3
Best Overall Game of Show E3 2009

G4TV E3 Awards:
Best Overall Game of Show E3 2009

IGN AU
Best Game of E3

I'm purely judging it based on how good the first one was.

There was perhaps a little bit too much in the way of laborious respawning enemies in the first game but the gameplay, graphics, controls and fluiditiy of movement of the characters actions (ie: fall turns in to roll, climb turns in to a quick hoist up rather than generic left arm up, right arm up, body up) make me think this game will be like an even better version of the first one.

Plus 2 player co-op is very rare on the PS3 and so this will be a massive welcome change for me as I'm always looking for 2+ player games for my PS3!

EDIT: PS- Can anyone recommend any good 2+ OFFLINE multiplayer games? :)

Lego Star Wars/Batman/ID, Motorstorm 2, PixelJunk Monsters :-D,SuperStardust HD, RagDoll Kung Fu, Little Big Planet.............

Can't really think of many more though (apart from FIFA, Guitar Hero etc) - two player offline is definately something more games should try to employ - I remember when nearly every game had a 1 Player/2 Player option

I also agree that the first Uncharted was fantastic - and if they build on that as well as they look to have done, this could well be the game of the year. As N20Y1D says above, it picked up the best of show, best console game and best action/adventure awards at E3 this year - that has got to mean something!

dont forget the first Uncharted is available in Blockbusters this week for £5.95 used . I got it on Monday after renting last year (and completing) , it was that good I had to buy it to replay again and own for myself.

Rainbow six vegas is very good in 2 player mode, either on or offline. The terrorist hunts are great fun when playing with a friend.

Resistance 1 (one of my favourite games although some people dislike it) has a good split-screen offline 2 player mode.

As Dan stated PixelJunk Monsters is also good fun in 2 player, plus it is a bargain price of 2 or 3 pounds. I've played that for many an hour.

we seem to be diverting from the original post lol. good game, but not GOTY!
