They make the cover hideous on purpose. You pay less, you get an uglier looking game. Always hated these cheaper versions.
I can say though, this is looking better than platinum crap.
It is indeed an essential for all PS3 owners.
Perhaps the second does improve, but 3-4 hours in and I declared myself out.

pers taste, i pers think best of the series. it really raised the bar on storyline games. top notch. possibly made by carlsberg

The PS2 platinums and the xbox/wii ones had a decent enough design. I think the Playstation guys just have a weird design ethic. Remember the Spider-Man PS3 logo? Good deal though. Haven't played the third one, but I liked the first one more than the second. Good focus, good pace, good story.
