Best game on the PS3 for any unhardened gamers like me. Very entertaining and quick to get the hang of

me too, fantastic game.

Nice, the reviews are generally astounding. Also Amazon have Ratchet and Clank Future for the same price (edit: no, it's Amazon's terrible website with the annoying third party website listings masquerading as their own, sorry), and that has similarly excellent reviews. Two top games for £22! (also Assassin's Creed for a tenner)

Ratchet & Clank was fun although at times I wasn't convinced that I was progressing through the game because of my skill.
Anyway I did see a second-hand (near new) copy of R&C on playtrade yesterday for £7.50 or thereabouts. May still be there or it may not.

me too, fantastic game.

I was surprised how enjoyable crushing was despite the fact that you needed a full clip of ammo to kill the enemies but they only needed 2 or 3 shots to kill you.

Great game and far better than Tomb Raider underworld...IMO
Drake 2 is one of the few games that I will pre-order this year.

Steady on man! Not sure it comes upto the likes of MGS for psone, Super Mario World for snes etc etc.

It's a very entertaining game this - especially at such a good price, be it £5 or £11 odd.

I completed it on hard and I'm now going through crushing setting - collecting all the hidden treasures aswell. There's some really memorable climbing sections in this game, stuff you'll remember doing for ages after. There's some fantastic enviroment graphics and Nate's movements across all obstacles are quite wonderful - despite a bit of 'tearing' in the enviroments. Great sound design aswell.

My only qualms with this game are the shootout sections - which tbh are repetitive nearing dullness. They're not the most convincing of shootouts either and it does get a little embarrassing killing the same 5 (poor AI) enemies for like the 50th or 60th time. I think the chase sequences on the jetski and jeeps etc aren't all that great either.

It's still a really good game despite it's faults. One thing I loved about completeing it was being able to watch all the featurettes that Naughty Dog have included DVD stylee...there's masses on there!

It's not £5 at Currys at all, at least not nationwide anyway. I just popped into a branch in Leicester today and it was £19.99. As far as they knew, it wasn't on offer earlier either.

What a surprise. I often see these "found PS3 game for £5 in bin at currys/comet/dixons/morrisons" on HotUkDeals, but I never see them. Not that I'm calling these people liars but finding these items is like finding gold at the end of a rainbow.

defo not currys at that price.
Their new games are £44 and the very few pre-owned they had were £20+.

As for game i dont think it is £9.99 either, i think its £15 + none in stock again.

got £10 in amazon vouchers, w8tin for others to come thru then im gettin this :D
Completed it on rental but so feekin good!

Good game, good price. The game gets 8/10 from me. It is quite similar to Prince of Persia: Sands of Time except with guns, but the latter is more polished and was more innovative at the time. Good fun though, but there is not much new here, just a well-made game. It's well worth it at this price.

Ordered mine thanks op

Went to Currys, what a cr&p selection, no Uncharted, just £10 bin of really cr&p games for PS2 and Wii.
Will always vote these Currys deals cold.
#23
Can confirm that there are Currys stores out there
that do this and infact other Platinum edition PS3 games for a fiver

In one:
Uncharted £5
Motorstorm £5
Resistance: Fall Of Man £5
Ratchet And Clank £5

So the person who posted this WAS telling the truth
as I have the receipts to prove it

I got stick when I posted Dead Space as £15 instore at Sainsburys
on the HMV £17.99 thread, it then turned out to be nationwide.

The point is that even if it isnt nationwide it may well be worthwhile
checking Currys first when someone flags it up.
If your Currys doesnt do it then its not their fault.

In this case the Platinum editions have yellow stickers with 75% OFF
As were a lot of the XBox games

There are also still Sainsburys stores selling the title for £10 - 2.5% VAT (£9.78)

Erik, I don't think its a good deal if out of 100s of HUKD viewers that want it only a handful can actually get it at the deal price.
Just my opinion. Maybe an admin could correct me.
