Good find ta:thumbsup:

Going to order at this price, Argos have it for £11.99 but no stock anywhere nearby as I think it's clearance.

Pluto's still a planet... just a dwarf planet. Poor wee thing. I would love this, but don't have an excuse to get it.

Looks a bit messy.

My son has 1 in his room.. its not bad the only thing is that wires need bending quite alot otherwise the planets clash into each other, a bit of a poor design on that bit, other than that 8/10

Would it be wrong for a grown man (admit - live on own) to want one of these for the spare room?

Heat added

I bought this from argos and my son loves it, we didnt have to bend our wires but it did take careful following of the instructions to get the wires and planets in the right place, but again we had fun doing it and discussing it while we did.
I suppose my only critism was it needed a rather large hole in the ceiling!
We added the remote control moon and some stars in constellation shapes :)

Perfect for my sons new bedroom theme: planets, spacemen and rockets!
Heat added!

They are VERY noisy!

I'm a bit ****** off now, I didn't read the link properly. I thought it was a kind of lightshade. That would be cool.

I wonder if I could modify it with the cordless Dremel I bought via this site a coupla months ago...

I told the wife i'd like to see uranus on the ceiling...

I think these are overpriced and overrated - the sun is very dim (certainly expect brighter from the images) and the mech noisy. Don't think for a minute all the planets move at proportionate speeds (although this would be silly anyway) there are two moving levels with half the planets on one level half on the other.
IMO this just about worth £15.

The moon on the other hand is a real bargain, when on offer!

im amazed that you did not have to bend the wires! I know mine is 100% correct i checked loads of times, but there seems only to be about a inch of space between top level and bottom level on the rotating part and with my wires there was no where near enough room to hang a plant on the top level without it clashing with the bottom wires.
I had to almost bend my wires straight down on the lower section to get the two levels to miss each other! lol .....Weird eh!

put this up for my 5 year old lad last week, he loves it, planets didn't clash and not that noisy compared to half his other toys!! simple piece of kit, cant believe people think it might replicate the solar system perfectly!
main light not too bright due to it having batteries other wise you would get through them pretty quick!! fires his interest in the planets which i think is good, worth £15
