And thanks Remington for the specs

I posted this when it was £39.99 at superdrug - which I thought was a good deal at the time.

Stand by to be told the camera/case is not as good as one that costs 10 times the price

Yep, I have too much time on my hands...

I'd love to see some actual pictures taken underwater with this camera because the price is excellent. These underwater housings don't usually come cheap.

I'd be just a little concerned about the quality of the camera itself. I can't find any reviews online so far. Anyone else come across a review or have one of these ?

Anyway, good first post by jimboo, nice find and have given you rep.
I'm personally going to hold back voting it hot just in case it's a duff camera.

Point being though if it's a duff camera that takes duff pictures then people are going to be disappointed whether it's £31 or £310 quid.

Not saying it is rubbsh but I for one would like to see a decent review with some pic examples.

If it takes good + quality photos I would get one in a flash (pun intended) :)

Same price at Amazon but with free delivery - although not in stock so probs best going with eBuyer! Very good price for an underwater camera :-)

Great price! I've been looking at underwater casing for my Fuji F50 but decided against as I can't justify the £90+ price. I'd rather buy this camera and keep the Fuji for above water shots. Heat added!

Amazon would now appear to have it in stock, but it's £45.

One word of caution on underwater cameras - don't expect glowing pictures of coral reefs with all vibrant colours. The red spectrum of light only goes down about 2 metres, so your pics will be mainly blue. I think that if you use the flash it's better, but only at short range, and only when the surroundings are dark (ie. it's not a sunny day).

I rented a digital camera on the Great Barrier Reef and to be honest, I got the same sorts of shots from a waterproof disposable.

ps. Great price, anyway.

pps. More info on taking pics underwater:

ppps. Out of stock!!

Really 30 meters and no leaks? I'm very tempted, just got back from the red sea on a liveaboard and I really missed having a camera..

I've only ever bought the cheap disposables which come out with (as mentioned above) blue/green pictures. The advantage with this one would be at as it's digital you can easily transfer it to photo ediitng to try to normalise the colours a bit more. With the extra stage of scanning, my photos just ended up as sludge on the computer :(

This one isnt digital,it takes film but some good reviews and £24.99.Shame the digital one isnt in stock, will keep my eye on it to see if it comes back in stock

Has anone compared the photos from this with the 35mm disposables.

In some ways the 35mm may be better (higher resolution etc), although the advantage of the digital version is being able to keep taking/checking...
