would love a AAA version though

The description is not very clear, but if you click the "enlarge image" link, in the top-right corner of the packaging it seems to say "for 2 or 4 AA/AAA batteries". So I assume it will charge AAA cells (although it clearly comes with AAs).

This type of battery is great and is the future.
Buying cheap AA "Use once and throw away"
types is a crime.
Great find. Voted hot.
#5
best price ever seen these with the chargers

This is a very good price just for 4 AA Hybrios on their own! I've just bought 12 Uniross Hybrio AA batteries from here :

http://www.rptl.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_26&osCsid=6cdfaaac2c3ff1e1b68758f87b0a3bfa

which are unpacked and don't say 'Hybrio' on them but are Hybrios. They worked out about £4.30 for 4 with postage... but to get proper packaged ones for £5 is great - and then you get the chargers on top which is a bonus.

Having said that I would recommend getting a decent charger though and just use the supplied chargers for convenience. My old charger was rubbish with these Hybrios but the new one is great. The batteries last so much longer. This is the one if anyone is interested :

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=100598

Hybrios tend to do very well in tests against the Eneloops e.g.

I know people keep mentioning the Good To Go batteries from 7DayShop (£3.99 for 4 via Amazon marketplace) but I read in one test their capacity was very variable... but I can't find that review again.

just ordered. thanks. does anybody know if a normal NiMH charger will charge these batteries?

yes it will. wouldn't use a 15min style charger but one taking 1hr plus will be fine

seeing as we are talking batteries...

i made a (maybe stupid) purchase of a sprayer which uses cell batteries not rechargable pack.
takes 8 C size and the included alkalines apparently last about 50mins.
sounds like a high drain device so does anyone think that using rechargable AA with converters would supply enough juice or do i have to get rechargable C (or alkaline!!)?
(assume 1.2V rechargables are ok as alkalines are around that under load)
p.s dont have converters so cant 'try it'
#28
Still £5 please unexpire!

If you have one in your basket at £7.99 then you need to remove it and add it again at £5...
#29

Are these about as good as I can get for a digital camera?

It depends on how you use your camera. If you leave it sitting unused for long periods and expect it to have a decent charge left, then yes. However, if you use it intensively over a day, then not necessarily.
