£9.22 delivered - no thanks! :)

Good deal if you are buying other things to take it into free delivery territory. Also, cheaper than the £10 I recently paid for one of these even with the delivery charge

Better to try and get into Wilkinsons and get 4 x AA hybrio's (2100mA) and charger for £6.49

Had one of these for ages. Works very well but takes about 10 hours.

classic means "not intelligent" - old timer based charger? not so great..

No offense to op on finding a competitive deal, but Comet were still doing it for £4.99 untill I checked in the evening yesterday.

I have one of these I bought from Amazon a few weeks ago. It says on the packaging the charger will not stop charging once the batteries are full. If I forget to turn it off is it going to cause a fireball in my house or destroy the batteries?

Nope, I've had one for about 5 years now and I'm doing that all the time (overnight charge and forget to take them off in the morning before going to work), I've not a had a problem yet although I'm currently replacing all my rechargeables with hybrio's as they're all now so old and don't hold the charge so well (I bought an "intelligent" hybrio charger which seems to do the job).

Our Comet were shifting Uni-Ross batteries & chargers heavily discounted, worth a look if you are passing one.

these are pants - after buying the eneloop rechargables would never buy anything else again -

Read the reviews on Amazon - they are very helpful. This is a no, no, item. Saving pennies. Get a better one for a few quid more. This one will damage your batteries by not stopping when fully charged, you never know when they are fully charged, 10 hours, 14 hours, 18 hours?? After that, damage starts. You will be spending much more on replacements. Very cold.

I voted this hot even though I got mine cheaper.
