BARGAIN! I've got one of these and it's great. Tiny, and stops charging when the batteries are full. Very tempted to buy a spare at this price. I paid about £15 for mine and that was a good deal at the time.

Good deal. Ordered +heat. Thanks OP

Was going to ask what the mAh of the batteries was, but I found it.

Charging all four 2300mAh batteries takes just over 5hr 20mins

Seems a good price ( 4 batteries of that power will set you back nearly as much), and I think batteries of this power will power a camera....Would it be suitable as a main charger rather than a travel one - ie constnat use - as they seem (from the reviews) a bit fragile

Well I use mine as an every day charger. Infact my first one did break after 2/3 years but it was so good I bought another anyway. I would say it's fine as an everyday charger - especially at this price! Only downside is that is doesn't charge 9v batteries.

Thanks - repped for info. What do you use the batteries in and how long do they last

Voted hot.

I dont think it will work in US will it due to the voltage difference?
Can somebody confirm either way
#12
On the back of it mine says 100-240V, 50-60Hz, so it will work anywhere as long as you can plug it in. It has a 2 flat pin mode but not the two angled pin one (sorry I don't know which one of those is US)

US=2 flat pins, so it sounds like it will work.

Yeah, US is two flat pins, angled pins is NZ and Australia. nick_sub is right that you can use it for different voltage regions also.

I had one of these while travelling around the world for a year, charging batteries for my camera, and I loved it. It did break after a year, so they are a bit flimsy, but I've just ordered another because they are wonderfully compact, and pretty decent chargin times also. Great price.

I too purchased one of these ages ago, I think it was about £15 so this deal is great.
Used it in various Asian countries and it worked a treat. Also use it everyday and haven't had any problems. With regards to robustness, I do treat my very carefully as I have read reports and it has been fine except the plug snaps out quite easily but that isn't a problem.

With it amazing size, it is also amazing light.

As Nick & Andy say, this is an excellent device.

I use it everyday and when travelling abroad on my motorcycle. The supplied AA batteries have been fine in my previous Canon camera and the current Fuji one.

It also charges the AAA batteries for my MP3 player.

Nice find - I was just going to buy one from mymemory - they had them at 10 afair. Missed that deal they have them now at 18! So I bought 3 from Amazon - they make great presents & are proper microprocessor controlled negative delta V switch-mode chargers. The only negative is the one status red/green LED only goes green after *all* batteries are charged & it's unclear if adding another battery sets it off charging all of them again or just makes you wait until the last addition is charged.

The killer is how small the unit folds up for travel - I've used it all over - Europe, Turkey, Egypt & The US. For the US you just need it - pins fold out. For The EU - take the 2 pin & the UK one if you want to use it on the train. You can't get a better charger that is smaller/lighter. :)
