Is that an instore only price because it's definately not listed on their site! Meanwhile heat added for this one - I really need some of these guys at a keen price.

If you are after just the batteries, they are £3 for 4 at ASDA. Plenty in stock at ASDA Cannock.

Very good batteries, I bought the same when they were £2.65, so got 6 for £15.90, last october.

These Batteries are excellent. I use them in my Canon camera and last a good long while if just left in the camera. Always handy when you want to take a quick snap or two. The same cannot be said of the charger. The charger does not have an auto shut off so you'll never know if and when your batteries are charged up.

Still a good price for what it is. Use the Batteries but keep the charger as a spare.

Oh my bad, I meant with my discount at cotswold they are usually £15 so I get it half price. So I can get 4aa and 4aaa batteries with the socket charger for £10.50 not bad i think considering I usually pay £1.5 for a set of 4 batteies which only last 2 weeks.

you can get a better charger and 4 bats for £12 odd and another 8 bats for £11.
OK if they charge in standard charger, -do they?

Thats a very good question - anybody know the answer? Thanks milymolly I'll have a look in my local ASDA but it tends to have limited stock of batteries and I've never seen these there (but I live in hope :p)

This charger has no safety cut out nor cut out when the batteries are charged. The more expensive Hybrio charger does cut out. Any standard Ni-MH charger will do. Infact I use the Panasonic Infinium (same technology as these Hybrio) and Panasonic do not even make a charger! For similar money I always buy Panasonic rather than the Uniross. Personally that Hybrio charger that comes with it is a complete waste of money and it is too elementary. It is destined to end up in the bin for most discerning users. It is far better to invest in a decent Ni-MH charger that will look after your batteries. So at £4.49 for 2 batteries is not a good deal. They were at £2.99 in Jan 08... it was just about OK then but no so good now.

Just got back from Asda Norwich and they have plenty of stock too. £3 for 4 Uniross rated at 2100mAh. Seems like a cracking deal to me.
