Low self-discharge means they work well in low current things like remote controls as well as all the other places you'd expect to use rechargeable batteries, and although they have a slightly lower headline capacity than the ordinary types, they will outperform them in almost every application due to the lower self-discharge rate. These went hot at £3.40 in Feb when I last bought some from Amazon. 800mAh - note they are AAAs and not AAs! Will charge in any charger designed for NiMH batteries.
Edit: headline price now £3.15 - to save 5p click on "34 new" and select iCell.
