This is an 'intelligent' Uniross charger which has been specifically designed for charging high capacity batteries and is perfectly suited for use with digital cameras and any other device that uses AA or AAA batteries.
Specification

- Sprint 15 minute TURBO CHARGE Charger which includes 2 x High Capacity 2100mAh Nickel Metal-Hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries
- Sprint 15 will charge AA & AAA Ni-MH Batteries
- Due to Intelligent Charge Control will switch to trickle charge after charging

These are awesome! and is exactly what I use for my xbox 360 controllers!

I have the 4 cell version of this.

It's very noisy due to the cheapo fan & batteries get VERY hot with the high charging current. IIRC, (I don't use it any more), the 15 minutes quoted is a bit misleading. Somewhere in the (very) small print it states that it only charges to something like 75% capacity in 15 minutes.

Edit
Just remembered something else. The spring tension on the battery holder is extremely high & the edges are square. This means that the battery's plastic covering tends to get torn .

Apart from that it's great....

I suspect they do cause some damage, but rechargables are not that expenive and they will still last a good while. I have the energiser 15 min charger and the AA batterys I use with it still seem to work well after over a year fo constant use (in my 360 controller)
