Good price and better this than their 15 minute charger that sounds like a helicopter taking off; I’ve exaggerated a bit. :w00t:

Another thing I like on this one is a car charger
#3
Seems good to me

One of the reviews on Amazon points out that "It is worth noting that to charge 2 batteries takes 1 hour, but to charge all 4 batteries takes 2 hours (This is mentioned in the instructions)."

Not a criticism but worth noting.

Hmm I too have been reading the reviews on amazon, the batteries are worth at least £7-9 alone but the charger isn't that good going off the reviews, i might give it a miss i think (neither vote cold or hot)

Maplin seem to sell some decent intelligent chargers that give a digital read out while charging, charging 2700 mAH batteries up this fast will shorten the life i would think.

I am using a bigger all in one UNIROSS charger for more than a year and have not got any complains at all. UNIROSS is not bad after using GP for many years before.
#8
My uniross charger takes 13 hours to do 1300 batteries and 18 to do 2100s.

You guys think this would be an improvement?

I have this one, it smells. I mean it literally has a nasty odour about it....

I don't know why the hell they are coming up these kind of charger which is just trying to kill all kind of batteries. why cant people think about the amount of pollution they are going to create by this

Hi - would someone who knows something about rechargeables and current offers please tell me which would be the best current buy for some AAs - for someone who does not care how long they take to charge up?

It seems that fast charging is a big selling point with these but I really don't need that - and I don't need an in-car charger. Charging up overnight (or longer) is fine.

any pointers appreciated.

as long as it has auto cut off, so it doesnt overcharge them you are fine. The really old cheap ones tend not to have this.

Hmm I've got a Uniross charger that charges my 2500mAh's in 15 minutes (up to 4 at a time) so I'm not sure why it's named "Sprint". However for the price and the fact you can plug it into your car this is a good deal and I vote hot.

I bought one of the Uniross ones that take 15mins to charge on ebay a few weeks ago for just under £10 delivered including 4 AA batteries.

NiMH batteries are easily damaged by overcharging so an "Intelligent" charger is best for keeping batteries topped up. Charging overnight, or leaving on a simple timer charger, is OK if the batteries are only charged when completely flat.
