Found these in Homebase yesterday for £1.49, didnt think they was bad at this price even just for the batteries plus there is 15% on these too i think

A very handy little USB battery charger suitable for charging all AAA rechargeable batteries. Supplied with 2 x 1000mAh AAA batteries.

This USB charger will charge 1 or two batteries at a time. Very small and lightweight. Works with any available USB socket. This charger does not switch off automatically so you will need to keep an eye on charge times. As this is a slow charger it is not the end of the world if you leave the batteries charging for a little longer than stated in the example charge times.

AAA 1000mAh : 13h

Heat Added!!!!!!
I got one of these too! but went in looking for AAs
Note that you will probably need an alternative charger since whilst USB works i is very very slow. Nonetheless, heat added
Next to useless....USB takes FOREVER to re-charge, plus what do 1000maH even power????...that and the fact that with no auto cut-off you'll kill them off in no time.....

Don't confuse AAA with AA. 1000mAH is good for AAA; one of them powers my Sony radio for 80+ hours.
mike23 - 1000maH is pretty good for AAA. You don't get much higher than that for AAA.

As has been mentioned already, the USB charger is a waste of space, but 2 rechargeable AAAs for £1.49 isn't bad.

Anyway, as with these homebase deals, I'm sure it's more of a local deal than nationwide. Remember the Hybrio deal about a week ago that was posted here - it wasn't even in most of the Homebase shops. I'm not voting either way.
Maplin have the charger only for £1.Noted a display of them at the till, 80% off, no batteries included.
Nothing in the Cannock Homebase, no discounted rechargeables at all :-(
Been into the Frome branch today, not on offer there, it seems this is store specific.
This is a fantastic deal £1.50 for 2 x AAA 1000mAh. How can anyone even consider vosting cold ?

I got a couple from Barnstaple Homebase so dunno about it being store specific.... cheers - Heat & Rep added.
I got mine from Preston
Got these from our local homebase just before xmas.
They are good only if you want the batteries, as people say they take an age plugged in to usb, but if you are at a desk all day on a computer these are spot on.
They charge AA or AAA, as the attachment at the top (near the LED's) rotates to accomodate both sizes.

Charge times inside packaging show
AAA 1000mAh 13hrs
AA 1300mAh 15hrs 50 mins
These are the maximum sizes shown and are for Ni-MH

In my opinion good if you ride a bike to work with lights on it, want to charge the batteries whilst on a p.c. at work all day (if your lucky enough to sit at a desk all day) then ride home again. Repeat 5 x a week.

Personally i got them for the batteries only, the chargers are just a bonus.
They also had packs 0f 4 x Hybrio batteries AAA for £1.49
Not available in Andover today
