I did check before posting and couldnt find it cheaper. If it was Amazon then you would have been hit for postage. Also was it the X-Press 700 you bought or a cheaper model?

Comet had it for £5 last month (instore) but couldnt find any stores with stock.

I posted it ages ago - as it was possible to get it with vouchers and discounts for under 6 quid. However I edited my post when the offers expired to reflect the price without the additional discount.

Its a good charger - and I use it in my car. Despite taking four batteries it only has dual charging circuits so should really be only used with pairs of batteries that you know have similar capacities. Don't put a 2100mAh hybrio in the same charging circuit as a 2700mAh AA, as you will fry the hybrio over time.

Currently the cheapest place I know with stock for hybrios is...

http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2771866

...although Asda are meant to have some for less - but I have never found this - and also if you wait for one of the homebase discount days you can get 10%, 20%, or 25% off.

But if you need them now - thats the place with the best price and stock (instore only).

Hi,iv'e never seen any Hybrios in Asda, they rang around for me also(they have been in at one time).
Hope your lucky in Homebase for Hybrios,End of Range.
Hybrios are good for Clocks,Remotes etc,but can be less capacity,more expensive etc.Also on Uniross Hybrio AAA's i have,it says,rechargeable 500 times.On normal Ni-MH,iv'e seen 1000.So its your choice.
One thing, you can't rely on past deals or 'iv'e got cheaper elsewhere' quotes.A lot of times, they end up as just Deal spoilers IMO.

Cheers BOB

Oh dear, they are out of stock now :(

Cheap chargers like this are a false economy imho!!
The money saved with cheap chargers like this is soon eaten up as they damage and reduce the life span of cells significantly!!

Personally I would pay the extra and get a decent charger like the GP Smart 2 Powerbank!

Decent chargers like this soon pay for themselves in that they increase the life span of the cells and also charge them far more efficiently meaning longer runtimes.

Not really.

Bought the Uniross Smart Charger + 4 x AA Multi Usage Long Life Batteries from Amazon and the hybrio batteries last for upto 1000 charges.

Used the HUD amazon voucher and got it for £10 with Amazon prime delivering the next day.

If it was a few quid dearer, I may have some reason with your opinion, but not when it costs 3 times as much as this one.
Gutted it's OOS, dammit!

Now out of stock: "Out of Stock Availble In 7-10 Days "
#24
Ah well glad it helped a few. Hopefully they'll get some more stock!
#25
Hi,well Uniross are wrong then regards number of recharges? Its what it says on there package for Hybrio AAA's at least, there undermining themselves then :)
So do i believe you,or Uniross?Be nice to believe you,but..............?,hope your right.
Or by the looks Amazon.
Even on Amazon for AA Hybrio's,sometimes it says 500 cycles:-

Cheers BOB

Thanks, I will make sure I do not use diff types of battries at one time.
#27
Hi,main point is,same capacity batteries on same charging circuit. It prob makes no diff if Hybrio or bog standard Ni-MH.If say 2 batteries, when ones fully charged, other wants to be fully charged, ideally. Also same age batteries as well ie with respect to how many times its been charged etc.If you CBA,keep batteries in Sets etc.
Ni-MH like a fast Rapid charge, your'e not treating it better Trickle charging for example.

Just for Info,Li-ion batteries(most Mobile phone batteries),like bitting & bobbing charging ie not draining down completely etc(do once in a while thou). You don't have to prime them also ie charge for 8hrs etc, just use them straight away if they have any charge.

Cheers BOB
