Nice if you wan to wait hours and hours for your batteries to charge. It's precisely this sort of junk that gets people going back to disposables!
It's just old stock they are trying to sell rather than chucking it in the skip!

Total Nonsense, quick chargers kill your batteries, these do cool and slow charging 7 hours your batteries last longer. You ll find Uniross makes quality products. But I think you rather buy your batteries from lidl !

This is bordering on Trolling! Typical of someone who posts something that then goes COLD because it's total crap, then whinges when they get told WHY..

Who is talking about "quick chargers" in the first place? They are too expensive and of dubious value. This one though is so slow most people will forget it is on, what you want is something that will charge in a relatively "few" hours!

I have a very old charger (10+ years old at least, it hasn't been used for 3 or 4) in the same series as this one,(Uniross XPress300 - further up the same range), and that can take 12 hours on an already partly charged 2000mah battery, precisely the reason I have something better.

No fan of Uniross batteries at all. I have some of the Low Self Discharge one, and they are the poorest of all those I have, still far better than these in every way though!

Why would I use Lidl batteries? Who mentioned Lidl batteries - What has that got to do with any of this?

I wasn`t really going to go down to this route but hey there is always something learn for all of us !!

Uniross Express 150
Technical specification from data sheet:

AA - 2 x 2.8v ~ 145 - 160mA 0.448VA
AAA - 2 x 2.8v ~ 50 - 55mA 0.154VA
9V Block - 2 x 9v ~ 18 - 22mA 0.198VA

So for this example

1300mAH Ni-MH battery fed with 145 - 160mA should require around 10 hours charge time, which is a very healthy charging time without stressing the battery allowing to be charged well lets say around 1000 times.

on the other hand if you were charging 1300Mah Ni-Cd your charging time would be around 6.5 hours,

Any other charger providing feed <250mA although will charge the battery quicker but yet you will be making shorter trips to shops to get more of them as you will notice they will not last long.

So unless you are here to give informative input, take your little story about your 10 years old charger elsewhere !!

Well if posting every bit of crap being cleared out by 7day shop, is the way forward, then I could be up there with you. Never seen the point though.

Posting stuff is easy. posting something that's genuinely any good is a challenge few manage frequently. I just don't know how some do it, and it seems nor do you.

In future I simply won't explain WHY I am voting your posts down - if they are as poor as this one, I will just do it, as everyone else has, and save myself from the tedious whingeing.

You have now joined those on my ignore list. I don't need the pointless ear ache.

The ones in poundland are a MUCH lower capacity at an unbelievably low 300mAh....Wow!
