Looks like a good buy . .so ordered one

For saying you can pay £10 up for just a Sky remote, seems a good buy. Wonder if one of the 6 functions includes a mute button for the Mrs ?? Voted hot.

I've still got a Masterplug 8 in 1 (TVRC8N) that I still haven't been able to get to work with my LG M227WD TV...
#4
Why have you got "10 in 1" in the title, and then proceed to describe a "6 in 1"?

If anyone can recommend a MCE universal remote that would be of interest also...

On your Sky remote press 'interactive' - 4 (Sky customer services) - 5 (programme your remote) and follow instructions. You have to know TV make and model as there are over a thousand listed. Technika have 7 models listed and the codes seem to be 2011 or 1695.

Or try http://www.satcure.com/tech/digicode2.htm or http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/ if you have a non sky remote.

Can this *learn* IR signals from devices that aren't in its library?

I never use the TV volume controls as it always comes out of the surround sound. My logic is that I can set the rest of the buttons to TV, and then change the volume to just control the surround sound. Sound do-able?

Just got mine through. It's great if your not sure if your device will be compatible, don't worry there's about 6 different ways to get it working including the usual codes, but also, the 'learn' feature and loads of other methods I didn't know existed!
#14
Thanks aaadam, ordered on that basis. Cheers!

I did order one of these. the code booklet did not have technika listed, but the learn function did the trick and I was able to programe on/off-volume and mute with no issues so very happy!

what made me lol was that I did go back into tesco to ask one of their "tech guys" if they knew of a sky + remote code for the technika TV I had purchasesd. I was expecting him to reel off some codes for me, but instead got his laptop out and searched google! what an idiot! I did tell him "do you think I have not already done this"

Does it work with Sagem Axium HD-D45 GT
#17
Can someone confirm if this works with Humax?
#18
I have been through two of these and wasn't impressed to be honest. Cheap, short range - you get what you pay for.

On the other hand it did spur me to get THIS:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/One-All-URC7960-Universal-Smartcontrol/dp/B0030GDLYS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303112395&sr=8-1

Which is the BEST remote control I have ever had; fulfills the dream of having DVD controls do MCE, channel/video selection do TV and volume control the amp all without changing mode of anything. Highly recommend....
