What happens if you tell them you use xx amount in KWH then you go and use xxxxxx in KWH?

First off, they will want to know why you provide all your utilities readings in roman numerals :|

Seems steep to me. I pay slightly less than the price of the 3 bed working couple in the winter months, far less in the summer, and I'm more in line with the top tier.

Sooo... tied to a 12 months contract and the T&C say they can throw you off the unlimited tariff "at any time".

Lock in the price - 12 month contract
The Unlimited Tariff, unless otherwise stated, is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time

I was quoted £110 - wish I'd know about this before my cooling off period had finished!

Currently will be paying £106/month but that can change depending on usage.

Gas:
Unit rate - 2.586p/kWh
Standing charge - 14.920p/day

Electricity:
Unit rate - 10.900p/kWh
Standing charge - 13.330p/day

It's simple guys. If you're on a standard tariff you're getting shafted. Sign up to the MSE energy saving club. Enter your details (how much energy you use per year) then look at how much money you can save!

It certainly has relevance. I was basically saying that this is not a deal at all. If I'm paying this much in a two bed house and they're charging (on average) £62 for a flat. Fine if you just want to hand them money!

Fair enough.. That's still cheaper than the big six. Their standing charges are 26p a day for both gas an electricity.

Well, that was a waste of time.

It's actually even simpler than that... rather than quibble the 0.01p/KWH, just turn things off when you don't them.

The cheapest gas or electricity is the stuff you don't use...
