We stopped using Talk Talk around 6 yrs ago; it was the worst telecoms company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

I am happy with TalkTalk. For £ 25 I have unlimited internet, SIMO contract (500min, 1GB internet, unlimited text) and unlimited calls to mobile to my friends and family abroad!

If you are considering moving to EE, why wait as EE has a buyout policy covering up to £100 of your existing provider's early termination charges http://buyout.ee.co.uk/

If You ask nicely to get to the loyalty team when Your offers or contract nears the end, then most likely You'll get another offer.

Besides line rental, which I asked nicely to put on my next month's bill instead of full card payment amount I got 15% Speedy Payment Discount (now it would be 10% still savings), I am paying £19.25 (potential 10% less every month with SPD), that includes: Essentials TV (sent back YouView box tho, for not willing to pay BBC TV Licence - LEGALLY) with unlimited Evening And Weekend Calls, Fibre Optic Broadband Large up to 76 Mbit (mine is aprox 59 Mbit up and 1.2 Mbit down) stable connection and Unlimited International Calls Boost. For me the last one for only £5 a month is a wallet and life saver, my family and most of friends live or work in countries, where making a phone call to no other telecom company offers service any close to TalkTalk's. To top it all, the clever Talk2Go app enables me to carry ALL my landline boosts and allowances anywhere I go with my mobile.

No other telecom in my area can match the package I get from TalkTalk. The customer service can be sometimes hit and miss, but be a bit patient and polite, and You'll most likely get a good return!

Can i buy a boost on talk talk mobile?

You must be a TalkTalk landline customer to get TalkTalk mobile, I reckon!

You can buy the boost for Your landline and use Talk2Go app on Your mobile. Therefore it becomes available to Your mobile phone on the go. HTH

Can you enlighten us how you can legally avoid paying the BBC licence fee just by returning the Youview box?

Surely, if you have a TV in the house with an Ariel, this fee becomes automatic?

Wrong! By only having a TV set (PC, smartphone or any other digital equipment capable to receive TV service) and aerial in Your house You are not obliged to pay BBC licence, but ONLY if/when You start watching/recording the TV service as it is being broadcasted! If You're happy to avoid live TV and be happy just to use On Demand players, YouTube, Netflix, Lovefilm, Amazon Prime or similar non live video streaming service You do not need to pay BBC licence.
Link to legally declare You are not using TV service as it is being broadcast: https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/cs/no-licence-needed/index.app
Off course this only up to any individual household to decide weather they will need the Live TV or they can save their hard earned money and be more than happy without it.

I took the YouView box from TalkTalk in hope, that I'll be able to watch just On Demand material. But I discovered YouView supports only BBC iplayer, no ITV, 4OD unless You are physically connected to an aerial. Therefore, legally without a valid BBC licence there is virtually no use of the box. Instead, I bought Google Chromecast HDMI dongle, which opens a wide use of Android apps or PC Chrome Web browser tab's casting option. The little HDMI dongle from Google transformed and enhanced my viewing experience of video material and more. My humble over 6 years old LG LCD instantly turned into Smart TV (minus Live TV Broadcasts).

HTH and explains the options available. 8)

My son accidentally connected his mobile to network data instead of wifi (at home in our house).
By the time I realised it cost me £500 !!!
Do NOT give a Talktalk SIM to the young or elderly no matter what they offer !
Talktalk is a very family unfriendly company.

you can set up spend limit. This way your bill will never exceed that amount and it limit is reached services are stopped temporarily.
