I have had one of these unlimited cineworld cards from before they were even cineworld and really got good value from it. At regular prices, you only have to go twice a month to get your money back from it and I ended up seeing alot of great films i wouldn't have stumped up £7.50 to see usually.

This unlimited card will increase in price on (or after?) the 20th of April. Anyone who signs up (or cancels their account and starts a new one) will get the lower £13.50 price for the next 12 months. (then it goees up)

You can pay up front or in a monthly direct debit. If you choose the direct debit, I think you need to take gas bills etc... along as proof of address and money for the first months payment. You can then use straight away.

You can also combine this card with the orange 2 for 1 deal and take a friend to the cinema without handing over any cash.

There are also occasional regional restaurant discounts and promotions offered to unlimited members.

Great places to hide away from oppressive summer heat when it comes (if it comes) and to warm up in the winter, which is more of a certainty.

Sign up now and you won't be affected by the increase.

good deal - wish there was a Cineworld closer to us

I have one of these and they are great value. Although you do have to pay extra for 3D films, normally a couple of quid.

Is this true? I got a letter telling me mine was going up in price, so why will it not be the same for people who sign up now.

Depending on when you like to go and obviously how far away you live, if you like to go maybe once a week it is worth it (if you don't mind going on cheap tuesday) but probably only three times if you like a Friday night.

Its a great deal and to be honest I probably went once a week when I lived in Preston (not near a cineworld) and took advantage of vouchers at my local VUE to get in for about £4. Now I live in St Helens I go an awful lot, probably 3-4 times a week and see most things that come out. Its a great way to see things that vaguely interest you, that you probably wouldn't have paid to go an see - Seen Limitless, The Legion, Mars Needs Moms, Chalet Girl, Fair Game, A Turtles Tale - that were all decent, but I wouldn't have paid a fiver to see

Much better than a DVD rental service or SKY movies IMO

It will go up for everyone, always does.

Fantastic deal, considering the rip off Odeon charge £8 now. Alas, no Cineworld where I live. Please please please come to Norwich.

This, they will just give you 30 days to cancel with no penalty.

If you cant go twice every month you really end up worse off. Also they need you to cancel in writing which is just a pain in the ****.
#11
excellent value for money, mine is going up in july, but at £14.99 it's still great value for money as me and my OH go between 4 - 8 times a month

any promo codes for this?
#14
wow great price :)
#15
This is the normal price, so I don't see how it's a hot deal. Personally, I never pay to see a film. I've been to over 40 this year alone and haven't paid a penny.

This is a novelty. You will make the most of it in the first few months and then like a gym membership you won't go anymore.

you just call them (look on say no to 0870)and cancel as long as you fullfilled your 1 year contract, they will not take anymore money from youre bank and cancellation will take place from when you paid up until,i should know i just cancelled mine last week.wish people would get their facts right before commenting about things that are not right!!!!!!!

started at £9.99 then £10.99 then £11.99 then £13.50 now £15.00.... next year £17.50. Good price to get it at just now but it will soon become outpriced.

I did'nt know about Orange Weds tho, thanks for that tip! had mine for a couple of months.

And to those who think it will go up, you signed a contract saying you will pay (well i did) £13.50 per month until the end of the 12 month contract and thus it can't go up during that, as they said in writing on the contract you will pay £13.50 until the END of your 12 months period ;)

if you join now at £13.50 and go twice a month after 5pm you will be slightly better off as its over £7,then any other use that month is free, but if you usually do not go more than twice a month why would anyone buy one of these!!!!!!!

I signed up in September and I've seen 48 films so far - saving me over £250 :)

Had a cineworld card for nearly 4 years, but with constant price increases ( ihad a central London one, was £11.50 when I started, is now £18.50), having to pay for 3D movies, and spending time in a cinema with the general unwashed and noisy I cancelled a few months ago. Havent missed it at all, and wouldnt get one again.

Blu ray on a large LED TV is glorious enough for me :)
#25
Most films are scrubs nowadays anyway...
#26
If you didn't have to pay extra for 3D I'd have had jumped on this.

Also Cineworld charge you for 3D glasses, whereas my other local ones don't (though they appear to be going this way). And they're generally more expensive anyway.

Not voted either way. It's hot in some respects, but cold in others.

I recently signed up for this and think its great value for money, I used rent films, go cinema or buy DVDs so am saving loads of money, I am seeing about 6-8 films a month. I also take my own popcorn so don't get ripped off whilst there, I recommend it if you are live near one as you are more likely to use it :-)

I have one of these cards for £25 for the entire year through my pruhealth gym membership.
#29
I had one a few years back and it was good for a few months but circumstances change. How can anyone guarantee that they will have time to see 2 or 3 a month. Surely you would end up watching crap films just to get your moneys worth or like what happened with me, things change and you no longer have time to see 2 a month. then you lose out because you are tied to a contract for 12 months.

It has been a few years since I had mine but I at the time also had to cancel in writing.
#30
Would rip your hand off for one of these - used to have a version of this back in the day of MGM cinemas - saw a lot of films! Alas - not got a cineworld anywhere near here...

Heat added for those that do though...

Got one of these at Xmas from her indoors and I love it. It means I can go whenever I want, even 3 times in one day last month :)

And if there is a movie that I like (Source Code / Battle For LA) I can see it more than once. For me, this is a great present and I make great use of it. Except on Wednesday. I hate the cinema on Orange Weds!
#34
@gooners It has your picture so no swapping!
#35
had this for a few years. Great value, tend to go 2 or 3 times a week.

Anyone else look like Brad PItt so I can still share my card?

p.s thanks for the clarification :)

i had one of these for 6 years - cancelled it in December as

bought a 50" tv and a very good home cinema system so just watch stuff at home
my local cineworld (Brighton) is crap - its small, the seats aren't banked very well, they only have 10 screens (so if a big film is out it will take over half the screens) and they don't show a lot of the smaller films. Crawley is much better but a bit of a trek.

Its very easy to get value out of these - the other thing I liked is they encourage you to take a gamble on films you might not otherwise see - if its free you can walk out after 20 mins if its crap and go see something at one of the other screens instead!

In London, you pay almost that for one film.

The 1 year tie in is the bit that stops me getting it though.
#39
Is this true? I got a letter telling me mine was going up in price, so why will it not be the same for people who sign up now.

Yes, this price has been the same for a while now, but if you sign up now, the 12 month direct debit should give you shelter for the price increase for 12 months. Then you can either cancel or they will take £15 a month from you in a year's time. That's the only reason i posted it. I can't believe so many people didn't even know about unlimited cards in the first place.

I have seen loads of films with mine because I am a ten minute walk to the cinema and would rather do that than sit in and watch tv, but I know it's a hassle for some people and with more and more bad films these days (it seems) it makes sense for alot of people just to buy tickets as and when.

Not for me, I got one of these about 4 years ago and use it pretty regularly. There've even been days when me and my gf have went to the cinema in the morning and watched 3 or 4 movies in one day - not a regular occurrence, but the option is there....
