Go into any branch of Subway and ask for a voucher booklet (no purchase neccesary). It's full of deals like coffee & donut for 99p, free upgrade from 6inch meal deal to footlong, free 6 inch sub when you purchase a footlong meal deal etc.

But when you do buy something using the voucher, they throw in another booklet! Unlimited deals till Dec, nice :)

one of my local ones (3 of them in the same town, lucky me :D ) you go in there with proof u go to the college / uni nearby and you get a discount, not been there in a while so cant remember how much you saved.

it was the one in middlesbrough near the banana leaf, and all i had to do was show my college ID.
#10
Thanks very much - will pop by tomorrow and see if they have any :)

The Sub Club Stamps were getting abused in a BIG way. Store staff were stealing rolls of stamps and selling them on ebay making up to £200 for one roll.

With that kind of abuse there were too many cards out there that were not purchased in a genuine way and it was decided to pull the system completely.

There are talks of an electronic card loyalty system being put into place, but thats probably at least a year way from being implemented.

I'm not sure these books are available in the London area. They already ran this booklet earlier this summer and now have various other offers on in their stores. But i may stand corrected on that last bit.

Whenever I ask for voucher booklets, they tell me I need to buy something...
#20
Dunno if its on anywhere else but the ones in Belfast have vouchers printed on the back of your receipt too.
#21
usually you do need to make a purchase before they give you a voucher.
#22
student deals seem to vary - some don't have any. tot. crt. rd offer free drink when buying a sub with student id.

Student discounts do vary as some people were taking the mickey!

Had over 30's/ 40's who were doing some part time college course trying to use their college id's as NUS student ID's.

In all fairness the only genuine student ID's are the NUS student cards. Final say is with the store and the offer varies from 10% off to free drinks and sub upgrades.

at the subway at euston station (no pun intended) i got a 6" sub, a bottle of water (or a gigantic disgusting fizzy drink) and a cookie/crisps/snack choice all for £2.99 when i showed my uni ID card (not an NUS card). it was the first time i'd tried a subway, seemed a bargain to me, even tho my uni was paying :p

I was curious about that, the one we go in has never told us...but a few weeks ago we saw one person refill twice and wondered if he was just a skank, or if you were actually allowed to do that.
#28
The store I use referrs to the cups (when offering a bottled drink or a cup) as a "refill cup" - so I've never thought twice about it
#29
I bought loads from Ebay before, about £4 things like a 6" roll free with a medium drink or buy one footlong get one free, or buy a 6" get another free or 3 footlongs for £10 etc

Bought 2 lots of the booklets now im fed up with subways! only 1 voucher left so may use it before I move.
#30
will have to get one.....can't beat coffee for 99p

The store may also not accept them then, they're all franchise so can largely do what the hell they like.
#32
No vouchers in my local Subway, guy said they'd all gone by 10am :(
#33
I went to my Local Subway earlier on and they said only the manager can give them out, and he's not in at the moment.
#34

Shows just the difference between the UK and the US, in the US most places that offer soda do free refills as a norm. Here we pay extortion on top of our meals for drinks that cost for the most part a penny in soda dilute. We have just become so accustomed to that.

My wife is american, and found it difficult to adjust to rip off britian policy especially our restaurants.

However in every Subway we have been in we go and help ourselves to refills, never seen a Subway in the UK that states whether refills are allowed or not, its an American chain and certainly in America noone is frowned upon as a skank for getting refills in Subway or any restaurant chain for that matter that offers self service fountain soda.
#37
The offer is over according to the Subway I use (Union Street, Bristol) :-(

So is it at the discretion of the franchise owner?

I went to a lancaster one which had a huge sticker on the machine saying free refils but thats the only one ive seen

There's a drive through Subway in Wakefield :)
