good if they're unlocked - the problem with these budget phones has always (imo) been that they are tied to a network and a pain in the rump to unlock.

so - heat.

Excellent value for a phone especially if unlocked.

Good enough to send to Tesco for 500* points.

*I've got some old 500 point envelopes - they give 300 now.

but great for emergencies, as they have an exceptionally long battery life and good network coverage. Worth taking abroad if you have pay as you go credit and do not want to take a decent phone with you.

Worst phone ever made done buy it -- the screen is pathetic
#10
The screen is awful and reading text messages is a real pain. Avoid.

I doubt it would be unlocked. I wouldnt go by what a member of staff reckons.
#12
thats why its maybe 7 squids!

It's a great little phone for when you don't want to risk losing your £200 phone. Makes & receives calls brilliantly, and can handle texts. It also looks brilliant, it's thin and small. Battery life is brilliant because of the paper screen.

Voted hot.
#14
oh come on people £7 for an unlocked phone , do we really care if its a brick or not , voted hot.

Why would anyone buy this when for less than £10 you can get a cheap Nokia like the 1208 on here a little while ago?
#16
We've recently bought one for my mother in law. These might be basic, but they are excellent for older people who might be hard of hearing or have poor eyesight. They are loud, clear and easy to use.
Tescos have them in-store for £14.99 with £10 free credit.

I have one or two of these, although only a secondary consideration for a phone, the screen is really clear and the digits large, they can easily be seen in bright sunlight. I am of course going by this definition:
Phone: 1 an instrument that transmits or reproduces sound.
Regarding the phone, I can't fault the quality of build or the clarity of calls, in fact there are videos on Youtube where these things get dropped, trodden on and kicked around, and they still work.

So as a phone I rate it 99/100. However I also use an Internet enabled camera phone for things like getting train times etc.

They should have a TV advert for this phone similar to the Skoda adverts where the man runs away from the car when he realises what he is driving: For example. an environmentally concious girlfriend gives a Motorola F3 for a birthday present to her trendy boyfriend in a packed bar, with all his mates around him...

... oh and by the way all F3s are unlocked, they are so simple I don't think they can be locked. The phone doesn't even have a menu, so they are ideal for older people who were brought up on GPO rotating dial phones, and want something that allows them to talk to someone else without knowing how to work a computer.

This is a mint phone - im 18 and on a contract but got my phone nicked so got htis one - its A.C.E!

I dont care what anyone says (least of all the people on HUKD - I thought this was money saving, not money spending on useless MP3?Camera attached to mobiles) - class battery life, great (Amazing) contrast screen (great for finding the time in clubs), and it looks good!

Basically all the people at my 6th form thought it was a bit funny but most seemed to think it looked good - the contrast makes it look like a toy! Well, amused them for a longish time they still like to play with it!!!

Its also got great reception and okay texting isnt amazing but I can put up with it for just over a fiver! Its not that bad just a lack of upper case but personally i think its easily manageable!

Its a PHONE not a TOY - people, there is no reason why this phone will not do you! It texts and phones thats all (I) need in a phone. If I wanted an all-in-one toaster/games console/calculator/text editor/MP3 player/Camera/and maybe a bit of phone then I'd get one but its made me realise how little I used all the c**py features on my old expensive one! (And the features are all s**t - oh a 512mb mp3 player wow)

And to those who say ...spend 2 pound more get this better nokia...
The nokias look awful these IMO look great!

In fact I thought it was so good I got one for my dad for fathers day! (His first mobile!) :)

*EDIT: mouseclick beat me to it - and I agree my phone has had a right battering dropped many a time and its still great (Although Im sure theres not much to break)!

ok cheepos, for god sakes, it 7£ and you would use it as a back up, not as you main mobile jeebus!
#35
Its really thin.. and it is UNUSABLE.

We were giving these away free in CPW if you paid 10 for a topup!!

Seriously to see how bad these are you have to use them. I work for cpw and I cant use them

You cant even text on them afaik!! Or I cant figure out how to!
#36
These are great phones if all you want is to talk and listen to people.
Don't let the fashion police put you off.

Hello im just wondering if there is poundstretcher in Derby because i can't find one in Derby on there website, but i'm pretty sure there was though!
#38
I got one of these in the glove box of the car with a payg sim in it for emergencies, battery lasts an eternity, we even take it on holdays is light and unobtrusive. ok forget text messaging etc on it, but for making and receiving calls ONLY its perfect
#39
If you have success using a non Virgin sim with this Poundstretcher deal can you please post. Cheers!

Bought one of these on Orange for a fiver a while back. Fine for chucking into the glove compartment for emergencies, however although I'm no phone connoisseur, rarely text and don't expect much from a cheap basic phone I have to admit it's still the worst phone I've ever owned. Life's far too short and the payoff far too small to take time finding your way around it.
