Personally I'd be cautious, in my experience deal extreme stuff is rubbish. I've bought a couple of things from them and nothing has worked, emailed them with no reply, so I won't be using them again. Maybe i'm just unlucky though.
P.S. I haven't voted either way coz my gripe is with the company and not the deal.

Anybody know if this could get you banned from XBox Live?
#3
I dont see why it would....

As for DX, I kno some people have varying opinions. Personally, I have ordered a lot from them without a hitch, and would sing their praises.

The big cavaet on this deal is that it is going to be picked up by customs and excise on the way in...

Ditto. Absolute rubbish and their CS is worse.

They should only charge for VAT as the limit for duty was raised to £105 in december, but then if the courier charges a handling fee that would be a royal pain.

You can attach any USB HDD formatted to FAT32 and it will be seen by XBOX, sorry if I'm stating the obvious

There would be no duty on this anyway....but you would get stung for handling fee plus VAT.

Ok smart ****, can you install games to that? Can you downloads demos and videos from Xbox Live to that? Can you use it for game saves?

Anything connected to the USB ports on the Xbox only serve for multimedia purposes, such as music, photos, videos etc, but not for game based content.

can you use a 250gb external hard drive to the xbox360?

You could but but you cant just swap out the drives: The new one has to be set-up to match an official drive (I think this is at a firmware level too) so only 120gb of it is seen (Until MS remove that limitation a 120gb drive is the most any 360 can use).

So really, you would be better off sourcing a cheap compatible 120gb drive and format that as needed (you can find tutorials on the net), than wasting the capacity of a larger one.

EDIT: Oops, sorry, I misread your post. Thought you meant an internal drive. And external one can be used as is for playing back media, but not for anything like saving whole games to the drive, etc.

Voted hot, I've used deal extreme hundreds of times, only ever had 4 broken items, all have been replaced instantly without me even needing to send the original back! Great service!

How did you get them to do that? No one ever replied to me!
