According to most sources, your usage will be Traffic Shaped to the point of being unusable with SSE fibre especially at peak times. You get what you pay for sometimes.

Unlimited Broadband is subject to our Broadband Traffic Management Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Further details can be found at, sse.co.uk/legal-regulation-broadband

this gets posted every few weeks at the moment. yes, your traffic is "shaped", but i'm quite happy with my service so far - it's never been "unusable" at all.

Never had any speed problems or reliability problems and with the Topcashback I received it is £13.40 per month over 18 months.

I'm with post office broadband and landline calls my 3 month bill is £76 I never use home phone but got to have it for Internet I think latest fast sky broadband or but infinity would be same as I pay now ?? I've done postcode check but cannot have virgin ! Is it easy to swop and how long does it take ? Thankyou for your help

used this deal to re-negotiate a BT fibre deal. I was reluctant at first due to a bad experience with BT a few years ago, but this time they have been spot on. Infinity fibre is very fast and stable for me, although everyone has a different experience.

Sorry, but we don’t currently offer broadband or phone services at this property.

sse fibre is only good for downloading, if you intend to stream or game forget it. yes, their speeds can be ok but when your bandwith is constantly going up and down (1 second you are hitting 60 mbps then the next second 234 kbps YES that is kbps) streaming will buffer. as for gaming, like minecraft, that requires upload as well you will be out of luck as they use Daisy Communications who store your packets in a buffer thus getting bufferbloat, the game is unplayable. most online games will lag very bad in peak times, which for them is between 4pm and 12pm. im fine with sse as i mostly download but my kids are not, they can no longer play online games or use kodi at peak times. they cant wait until the contract finishes and we go back to sky. be warned!

We have been with SSE for almost 12 months now. Have a no issues at all so far. I work online at home all day and we stream movies most evenings.

After looking at your previous comments i decided to give a go to this company.. So far very good with streaming apart of torrents ofcourse..

i am surprised the router is giving good coverage on 5G band with full 68mb speeds.. I usually upload stuff so upload is great giving full 20mb..

lets hope this stays like this forever as i have seen many complaints after few months.

I got £70 cashback as well and it actually confirmed and paid out in only a few weeks as well which was rather good.

I was aware of the complaints as well before I joined but I'm also realistic enough to know that people who are getting a good service rarely go online to say so, so I decided to go for it and haven't regretted it since.

I've since found that a decent VPN will still let you torrent during peak times at a reasonable speed if you really have to, but then I'm still quite happy to just kick off the torrent before i go to bed and choose "shutdown when complete".

i got £131.30 cashback paid but had 6 weeks of hell, you tube buffering, downloads on my Sky box taking hours when they should take a few minutes, glad i finally left

I also got this phoned them up its likely you are with talk talk / sky or some one else that has took your line for their own network I have the misfortune to be with talk talk ) you can get it but its a llu un-bundle fee of 36 £ something

We've been with them for 5 months now, we're happy. Torrenting and uploading aren't great.

But streaming tv online and browsing the internet aren't a problem. Disappointedly, the area only gets 18mb at its fastest, so we got get the benefits of the ultra fast internet but we are running 3 TVs that are all streaming at the same
time and have no issues - so no complaints here.

Waiting for Black Friday ... were some awesome deals on at the time last year.
If the trend continues, I'd try to ensure I take out a 12 month deal every Black Friday.

I have noticed that 2GHZ band is not great on this router compared to 5Ghz.. Giving me now full 71mb download on wireless.

so avoid using 2Ghz band ... and yes getting full speeds even after 5pm..
