if i had £50,000 to put into a savings account i wouldn't be worried about 2000 clubcard points!

Lots of people seem to be voting this cold but it is a very good offer if you play it right.

Sure, not many people are going to have £50k, and as a previous poster pointed out, if they do they're not going to care much about clubcard points, so lets ignore that option and look at the £5k.

What the site states is you open an account between now and April 2nd. You don't need to deposit any money (although 5.5% is a decent enough rate) then to qualify for the 1500 points, you just need a balance of 5k+ on 31st May, then you can just take it all out again.

1,500 points = £60 in deals. £60 ontop of the 5.5% interest is pretty darned good.

Voted hot.

Tescos are being well stingy with the Extra clubcard points recently.... mainly due to the fact that some greedy ***tards have got 20 or so clubcard accounts and are hammering them !

This is a hot deal if you can afford the initial investment

Like you say, good offer if you go for the £5,000 for 1500 points.

I think tesco have been very tight with there so called "Deal".

Tesco should have provided a better deal as per follows:-
Clubcard Points awarded
£1,000 - 1000 points
£3,000 - 3000 points
£5,000 - 5000 points

I wondered that aswell, you only get deals either by an extra receipt at the till or by post quarterly so having extra cards would be useless surely? be better off getting a bigger balance on 1 card!

Tesco used to offer codes to get lots of points when shopping on-line, these could be used once per card therefore if you had several cards you could get loads of points with every weekly shop.

Hence the reason why they don't offer those codes anymore!!!
