Thanks again Kelly, keep the bargain hunting up!

Haha some people with a problem in here, you sound like those people who hear a 'new' band, won't stop talking about how excellent they are, then when other people start to listen and talk about it you go off of it.

A lot of Bench stuff has some awesome designs so heat added from me.

Nice Kelly n Steve - keep them coming!

I really like Bench, but did wish it hadnt come down in price so much and become common.
#6
Good find

Bench clothes are pretty lacking in style lol sorry guys. BristolDeal is correct.

Its all very well buying cheap clothes, but id rather spend a bit more and get stuff thats less monotonous and common.

Still I guess it is a hot deal :) lol

i bought my first pair of bench jeans probably 10 years ago in a skate shop - they lasted ages - really good quality. some of they're less shouty things were and are very cool but yes they have got some awful bits. I dont really think ive ever seen a chav wear bench, its just become more mainstream

he he.. move on guys :)

Nice find Kelly

Does it really matter? You either like Bench clothes or you don't, it just so happens that those who don't like them consider those who do chavs, which I think surmises the situation, so can we move on now?

It is when it all turns up in TK Maxx - which most of it does.

It used to be an okay brand, but now it's everywhere, it has no value as a label. It's up there with YSL as a brand that got devalued once a certain type of person started to wear it.

Yeah, if you're particularly worried about brand. Their cargo trousers are normally good, comfortable and hard wearing - that's what I worry about. Normally not got logos or stupid designs plastered all over them either.

To be honest it all depends on whose wearing the item to make it look chavvy! My boyfriend wears Bench and he's far from chav, he cares so much about his appearance and is a Lawyer not a dosser. .

I'm a professional (with a doctorate...oooh, get me...lol) and wear Bench stuff because it's amongst the only stuff that fits me properly. Also, when I was a student I saw a lot of Bench stuff around campus. So I agree that it depends on whose wearing it on what it looks like.

Now if you got a someone from Shameless wearing one then yes Chav, but otherwise a 'normal' person wearing one looks quite cool.

End of......................

I would suggest that if your boyfriend "The Lawyer" cares so much about his appearance, that, as a good girfriend, it is your duty to mention to him that (even tho he may look cool!) the majority of people over the age of 20 consider his chosen brand to be a bit chavvy.

If I was the type that really took care of my appearence, I would want to know....

I've never seen a ned (Scottish term for Chav) wearing Bench. This is why I feel comfortable wearing it. But I did begin wearing Bench stuff years ago before they... boomed. When looking for a new fleece-type jacket I'll consider Quicksilver, Bench and the likes. I used to wear skate wear and bench combined....

But I'll never buy clothes online unless I've tried it on in a store first and can be sure it's an identical item.

If you don't believe labels act as cultural signifiers, you need to do some reading 'mate'.

Seriously? So society puts a higher value on an unemployed but well dressed person as opposed an employed but badly-dressed person.

Nobody mentioned value. I was talking about tribal association. I wear bench therefore the majority of people will think I'm a chav etc. When out in public sadly people tend to look for things that associate others to a certain stereotypical group that allows them to pidgeon hole strangers into their associated class. (or underclass in this case)

Most consider me to be a chav, I don't give a monkeys, but I do take offence when people assosiate chavs with being dossers/lazy. I am living proof that what I wear perpetuates the stereotype.

omg, someone call the fashion police!!!

i see bench as the same as adidas or someother sport brand, I dont see people complaining when a cheap pair of adidas trainers are posted because EVERYONE wears them.

Get a grip people. No one is forcing you to buy or wear it.

To sum up i think that maybe just maybe how hot this is speaks for itself!! :whistling::giggle:

Thanks for the deal........ Is it just me or does 50% off the original extortionate price actually seem a big enough saving bearing in mind the present financial climate:? Or am I over cautious and careful on exactly what I spend my hard earned cash on? Each to their own!
By the way I do believe the smaller the logo, the greater the appearance(personal opinion only:oops:)

Some good deals here. Although I prefer to try before I uy with clothes.

It's wrong to stereotype someone for what they choose to wear. I use to quite like wearing hoodies, but have been put off them because of the looks I started to get. Hoodies were primarily skater wear and were "stolen" by "chavs" (although skaters stole them from the the hip-hop scene). It's a shame the world is full of bigots.
