Hot, The Dishwasher is a fantastic game, and Zombie Apocalypse is a very decent little twin stick shooter.

Not strictly true ... let me explain. When you purchase dlc it is linked to your gamertag and console. You can still play offline assuming that your gamertag is linked to the console you want to play offline. If you have a new console (new or replacement) then the DLC and console ID wont match offline, so the only way you can access them is online so that microsoft can link your gamertag to the content.
That said you can relink any old dlc from your gamertag to a new console once every 12 months.

So in your case i think you will still be able to play them offline, because the gamertag that you download it too will be linked to your home console not your mates. I really cant think of any reason you you wont be able to play offline. In fact ive done the same at my parents house before. If you are unsure, then maybe you should try downloading an 80 point indie game 1st just to make sure.

I have a bunch of XBLA games that won't let me play offline and this is on my only console with just my ID on it.

ive just updated my firmware on my offline xbox and some of my old games id bought now have turned into trial games its saying log into xbox live too activate !!! so my mate is right ..ive just called him and some of his games are the same he needs to be online too play them or too activate them every once in awhile ..that bull poo

If you want to play xbox arcade games offline the only way is to purchase the game on the console you want to play it on offline.
#9
The game gets linked to the console it was Downloaded on so it will not work if offline on your console if you bought it signed in under your profile on a friends console. You can play the game on your friends console regardless off the profile you are using on or offline.

i think theyve changed the rules on some games...ive bought geo wars ages ago ive redownloaded it too my new console and i can only play it properlly if i go online if im offlie it shows up as a trial game only..scramble..frogger still work offline but that one wont ..i went to my mates whos got the same game his does the same as does a few others of his which is out of order :(

Waxxy is correct - the rules have changed. I have lots of games that will only play when Im online and they were bought on the console I am trying to play them on. With me it's mostly cheap Indie games that wont work offline.
