Just got it delivered, absolutely massive and heavy... 40kgs just the clear glass and the legs are another 5 kgs...

If you don't have AVforums account, just create one and you don't need any minimum posts due to recent changes... you will get you free next day delivery worth 9 gbp.. IMO, its totally worth it, super fast delivery and amazing tracking.

If you check out (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/veho-vgs-001-black-lcd-plasma-hi-fi-stand-for-upto-52-hi-end)

this seems to be a similar version but smaller capacity and worth 140gbp... I dunno if its a misprice but I am amazed at what I got.

I know for a fact these 8mm clear glasses aren't cheap... these are pretty large size as well.

Seems a good deal for a stand that will take a 60" plasma

bought this in the same deal last week. if you search hukd, these are on offer around this price quite regularly. Still waiting to build it up it, is really heavy 40KG... :-\ - how long did it take to build it up mate?

Delivery is stellar - scan delivered within 30 hours of placing the order! They even text you the hour in which they will deliver.

I bought one of these a couple years ago and as mentioned it is heavy. It is quite easy enough to put together but get a person to help if possible. You have to build the unit upside down and slide the glass onto the supports which can be a bit awkward if doing it alone.

I got given a 28" widescreen CRT TV to use for my old skool gaming as older games look rubbish on a HDTV! Reckon this will be suitable?

As mentioned above I bought one of these a couple years ago so this might not be quite the same size. Clearance between top and middle shelf is 17cm and between middle and bottom 24cm. I have a "Q ACOUSTICS 1000C BK CENTRE SPEAKER" on my first shelf with a PS3 on one side and a Xbox 360 on the other. The lower shelf houses a Denon AVR-8203 amp, Samsung DVD recorder and a Humax PVR.
