We live in a complex world. The more advanced it gets, the more vulnerable it becomes. We’ve created a house of cards: remove just one, and everything falls apart.

A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, these agents are trained to operate independently in order to save society.

When society falls, we rise.

Total Breakdown

We live in a fragile and complex world, a web of interdependent systems we rely on every day. When one fails, others follow, creating a deadly domino effect that can cripple society in days. In Tom Clancy’s The Division, immerse yourself in a frighteningly chaotic and devastated New York City, where all has failed. As a Division agent, your mission is to restore order, team up with other agents, and take back New York.

A new take on the Clancy series

Welcome to an online, open world RPG experience where exploration and player progression are essential. Use your skills, weapons, and wits in combat. Play in a persistent and dynamic environment that combines the Tom Clancy series’ core authenticity and tactical decisions, RPG action, trading, and much more.

100% social

Team up with friends in co-op, jump in and jump out at any time, and use your combined skills to fight the crisis, investigate the sources of the virus, and engage all threats... even your own citizens. Seamlessly engage in PvP, player-to-player trading, and experience suspenseful scenarios where danger can come from anywhere and anyone.

Only on next-gen

Powered by the new game engine Snowdrop, tailor-made for next-gen consoles, Tom Clancy’s The Division achieves a whole new level of gameplay quality. Snowdrop takes full advantage of the new consoles, with dynamic global illumination, stunning procedural destruction, and an insane amount of detail and visual effects.

Gear up and live your own adventure

As part of The Division, harness state-of-the-art technology, both networked and prototyped. Loot fallen foes and craft new, improved gear. Completely customise your go-bag, an agent’s only supplies in the event of collapse, and communicate with the other agents at all times with your smartwatch. Customise your agent with thousands of weapon types, skill combinations, gear, and much more. The choices you make can help forge a recovery or plunge the city deeper into chaos.

Well worth it at this price..... Patch 1.6 should be a great improvement and dropping soon

Strange I think the opposite. I got this free with a mb deal. Played it for an hour and thought it was rubbish. I guess we all like different things in a game
#3
Any deals on the season pass out there?

Was that in the last three or four months? The game has changed and improved considerably in the last year - a lot of the launch criticisms no longer apply.

Where's the 5% discount? How to apply it etc. Could be useful info to add to this post instead of copy pasting all that junk.

I have paid 17 quid a couple of months ago for this. It looks stunning but it got me bored real quick. I cannot recommend it.

Mind you I bit Battlefield 1 and Overwatch so The Division is definitely not an option for me

I played it quite a bit at launch, but haven't played it for a while now. What's the survival dlc like? Quite tempted with it?

Gamers have been beta testers for years, same happened with DriveClub on the PS4, the game now is vastly improved since launch, at least it worked properly at launch unlike quite a few other games.

Been playing this for the last 6 months and have all the expansions.

It's truly worth it at this price.

I'd just say that each patch, for me, makes very little difference apart from nuking certain gear sets.

The Dark Zone PVP mechanisms is still massively broken and 1.6 will do nothing to change that.

The game is brilliant if you ignore the broken DZ PVP element.

Played loads of hours of this game. I'll never get those hours back now. Totally pointless, every patch they release it's they've fixed this or that but in truth that never happens.

Can't find any, I'm hoping it drops as I wouldn't mind trying them as enjoyed the game but can justify spending twice the amount for add ins as the game cost

I think it was on launch tbh. Thanks for the tip I'll try it again

Great game if you can get Co op going with friends.

Love this game, its an rpg shooter a lot like diablo where your collecting loot to improve your character, coop is amazing. The single player story is pretty good on its own and the city is a brilliant looking place to explore. Just wish they would add more story elements and expand the city even more. I have the gold edition on both Xbox and pc i loved it so much, don't be afraid to match make the story missions as the coop element makes this game

Bought this day 1 and I've played about 60 hours give or take on the PS4.

The Division has problems at its core. There's still no content in game, and all the DLCs are gimmicky mini games that should have been in game from the get go. At this point they're just trying to artificially extend the life of the game by essentially making you have to redo all your gear every time a patch hits.

Not to mention, there is no point in any of it. At least in other gear treadmill games you improve your gear for more interesting raids/battles. In The Division you get "better" gear just so you can go empty 3 magazines worth of ammo into the skull of an NPC before it dies then you move on to the next one to do the same and it's like that in every mission. The AI doesn't get smarter. The fights don't get tougher. It's just "Lets just take a fight that normally takes 3 second, and make it last 30 seconds by adding more HP". That's the theme of The Division. Oh and that gif is after the so called "Sponge Bullet Reduction" that happened in 1.4.

Would not recommend.

Currently got 350+ hours game time in this, it's improved alot since release. I enjoyed the story even though it just ends with the bad guy getting away, you would of thought "Oh they will continue the story in DLC" but nope that's not the case.
Out of the 3 DLC packs, the only one worth it in my opinion is Survival. Underground is just a handful of mini dungeons where you can get a couple pieces of gear and the upcoming Last Stand DLC is just a dedicated PVP mode.

For under £10 it's easily worth it. Just don't bother with the DLC, unless you like H1Z1 and DayZ type games then at least pick up the Survival DLC.

If your expectations are not too high and you like co-op play, it's fun for a couple of hours. It's hard to get quality groups but it's not as bad as many of the reviews would lead you to believe. It's certainly worth the reduced price unless you hate shooters.

Got bored early on, but am now loving it, but like you say, the dlc isn't worth the price at the minute.

If it's the only game you own then it gets boring. I play multiple games and find myself putting in a couple hours a week into the Division. Game is well worth it!
